  • Patent number: 5303928
Abstract: A windsurfing board game includes a game board divided into a shore area, a water area and an island area. The water area and island areas are divided into playing spaces, and playing pieces in the form of windsurfers are moved on the playing spaces according to the roll of a die. A treasure indicia is hidden on the island spaces. The players move from the water area to the island area in an effort to uncover the treasure indicia by exposing the undersurface of the island space landed upon. Once the treasure indicia is located, the player returns back to the shore area from the island through the water area. Chance cards are employed during movement through the water area with each turn, with each chance card containing either a favorable, adverse or neutralizing indicia.

  • Patent number: 5295684
Abstract: An end cap for a racket handle is disclosed. The end cap is located at the free end of the handle with the cap having a thickness greater than the thickness of the remainder of the handle. The thickest portion of the cap has a rounded outermost longitudinal cross section which is disposed adjacent the end of the handle and a bridging section which has an "S" shaped longitudinal cross section as it extends inwardly of the handle. This permits the innermost portion of the cap relative to the handle to be at a narrow angle at the end of the cap closest the head of the racket to form a smooth transition to the handle. The end cap is comprised of a cushioning material to absorb some of the shock caused by impact with the racket.

  • Patent number: 5294116
Abstract: A string tensioning system is provided for ball rackets, in particular for tennis rackets and squash rackets. The string tensioning system, formed by a string tensioning member (1), is insertable between the substantially parallel disposed strings (2 to 7) of a ball racket (19) such that these substantially parallel disposed strings are lifted up and down, respectively, relative to their original common plane and relative to each neighboring string of a parallel direction. Thereby the strings are retensioned and the original stringing hardness is recovered.

  • Patent number: 5288075
Abstract: The game includes a gameboard, game pieces, image or face cards and a revealing device. The device includes a plurality of shutters, each slidable between open and closed positions. With a face card inserted in the device and the shutters closed, the face is covered, since each shutter covers a different portion of the face, and all portions are thereby covered. As the shutters are separately opened, the face is incrementally revealed. The opening of the shutters is determined by the movement of the game pieces on the gameboard, which can be determined by the roll of a pair of dice or by other random apparatus. Points are awarded to the player who first correctly identifies the face on the card as the shutters are slid to their open positions, and the face thereby incrementally revealed.
