  • Patent number: 7140794
Abstract: A label printing apparatus for accommodating a plurality of widths of rolled label stock is provided. The label printing apparatus includes a frame, a label stock support arm extending from the frame, and a print head located for having label stock pass thereby for printing. The label stock support arm may have at least two stepped regions for supporting rolled label stock, including a first stepped region with edges spaced apart by a first distance corresponding to a first width of label stock and a second stepped region with edges spaced apart by a second distance corresponding to a second width of label stock. One or more label stock guides may include recessed regions for guiding different widths of label stock. A movable wall may also be provided. The various features could also be provided in connection with printers using rolled print media other than label stock.

  • Patent number: 7096785
Abstract: A stamp pad holder for use in a self-inking hand stamp. The stamp pad holder has a stamp die box that holds a stamp forming material, ink cartridge and plastic within the die box. The stamp forming material is placed at the bottom of the die box. An ink cartridge having a layer of soft, compressible, ink permeable material applied to its bottom surface is placed above the stamp forming material but separated by an impermeable film. The film prohibits ink from flowing from the ink cartridge to the stamp forming material until the film is pulled from the die box prior to use. This permits the ink from the ink cartridge to impregnate the stamp forming material. The soft, compressible, ink permeable material increases the rate of ink flow from the ink cartridge to the stamp forming material.

  • Patent number: 7076200
Abstract: A tandem printing system includes two printers separated by a dual finisher station centered between the two printers. The system's two input/output terminals are controlled to act as one high-speed print engine. With this arrangement, improved productivity is realized if one printer is not functional (i.e., 50% instead of 0%). The centrally positioned dual finisher station simplifies the paper path for the second of the dual finishers.
