  • Patent number: 11183095
Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices that support a dynamic screen refresh rate are described. An electronic device may dynamically (e.g., autonomously, while operating) adjust the rate at which a screen is refreshed, such as to balance considerations such as user experience and power consumption by the electronic device. For example, the electronic device may use an increased refresh rate when executing applications for which user experience is enhanced by a higher refresh rate and may use a decreased refresh rate when executing other applications. As another example, the electronic device may use different refresh rates while executing different portions of the same application, as some aspects of an application (e.g., more intense portions of a video game) may benefit more than others from a higher refresh rate. The electronic device may also account of rother factors, such as battery level, when setting or adjusting the refresh rate of the screen.

  • Patent number: 11170552
Abstract: Described herein are methods and systems for remote visualization of three-dimensional (3D) animation. A sensor of a mobile device captures scans of non-rigid objects in a scene, each scan comprising a depth map and a color image. A server receives a first set of scans from the mobile device and reconstructs an initial model of the non-rigid objects using the first set of scans. The server receives a second set of scans. For each scan in the second set of one or more scans, the server determines an initial alignment between the depth map and the initial model. The server converts the depth map into a coordinate system of the initial model, and determines a displacement between the depth map and the initial model. The server deforms the initial model to the depth map using the displacement, and applies a texture to at least a portion of the deformed model.

  • Patent number: 11164390
Abstract: A user wears a virtual reality mask (VR mask) (100) and then watches a virtual reality image. The VR mask (100) blocks light incident from the outside. When the user wears the VR mask (100), the user cannot discover an obstacle (500) positioned outside the VR mask (100). The user may collide with the obstacle (500) and may be injured by the obstacle (500). Accordingly, in order to prevent injury to the user who uses the VR mask (100), it is necessary to make the user recognize the obstacle (500) positioned outside the VR mask (100). In order to recognize an obstacle, a virtual reality image and the obstacle may be displayed together, or the amount of light incident from the outside may be adjusted.

  • Patent number: 11158291
Abstract: This application discloses an image display method performed at an electronic device. The electronic device obtains a target location of a virtual object in a map scene displayed on a screen of the electronic device. After identifying a virtual building within a preset range centered on the target location, the electronic device gradually decreases the virtual building from a display height of the virtual building to a first target display shape of the virtual building. Next, the electronic device displays the first target display shape of the virtual building in the map scene. In response to a movement of the virtual object in the map scene, the electronic device gradually resumes the virtual building from the first target display shape to the display height when the virtual building is outside the preset range centered on the updated target location of the virtual object in the map scene.
