  • Patent number: 11582013
Abstract: A method and an apparatus for determining an RBG size are provided. In the method, a network device or a terminal determines an RBG size set, where the RBG size set may include one or more possible RBG sizes; and determines a first RBG size included in the RBG size set. The network device allocates a resource to the terminal by using the determined first RBG size. The terminal determines, based on the determined first RBG size, the resource allocated by the network device to the terminal.

  • Patent number: 11576143
Abstract: The position of a target user equipment (UE) is determined using an anchor UE and sidelink communication signals transmitted from the target UE to the anchor UE. During a positioning session, the anchor UE receives from the target UE sidelink communication signals, such as data signals and/or data related reference signals. The anchor UE performs positioning measurements for the sidelink communication signals from the target UE, such as timing based, angle based, or power based measurements. The anchor UE provides the positioning measurements of the sidelink communication signals to a location server, which may use the positioning measurements, along with a known position of the anchor UE to determine the position of the target UE.

  • Patent number: 11558905
Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may determine a set of modulations for a random access message associated with a two-step random access channel (RACH) procedure. The set of modulations may be either a first set of modulations or a second set of modulations that is different from the first set of modulations. The set of modulations may be determined based at least in part on whether a signal strength satisfies a signal strength threshold. The UE may transmit the random access message based at least in part on the determined set of modulations. The random access message may include a physical uplink shared channel modulated using the determined set of modulations. Numerous other aspects are provided.

  • Patent number: 11553506
Abstract: A mobile computing device is configured to dynamically aggregate wireless communications on a common antenna. The device determines that a WiFi communication in a first frequency band is associated with an antenna, the WiFi communication having a number of assigned transmission time slots. The device determines that a second wireless communication in a second frequency band also is associated with the antenna, and determines a periodicity and/or a media quality of the second wireless communication. Based on the periodicity and/or media quality of the second wireless communication, the device aggregates the WiFi communication and the second wireless communication, the aggregation comprising assigning a number of packets of the second wireless communication to an aggregation frame of a plurality of frames associated with the transmission time slots assigned to the WiFi communication.

  • Patent number: 11539422
Abstract: Embodiments of this application provide a beam management method, a terminal, a network device, and a storage medium. The method includes: when a quantity of reference signals whose RSSIs are greater than a first preset value in reference signals received on a first time-frequency resource on one of one or more beams is less than a second preset value, detecting, by the terminal, a reference signal and/or downlink indication information (used to indicate a sending status of the reference signal on the first time-frequency resource and/or a second time-frequency resource on the beam) from the network device on the second time-frequency resource on the beam. Further, when receiving the downlink indication information on the second time-frequency resource on the beam, the terminal continues to detect a reference signal from the network device on the beam, thereby saving communications system resources.

  • Patent number: 11533156
Abstract: This disclosure provides systems, methods, and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on computer storage media, for demodulation reference signal (DMRS) and cell specific reference signal (CRS) collision avoidance procedures for wireless communication. Conventional networks and devices may be unable to perform DMRS shifting in some modes. For example, when considering two transmissions of multiple TRP modes, if a DMRS symbol for one transmission is shifted due to a collision with a CRS pattern, the alignment of the transmissions may be altered. If DMRS symbols of the transmissions are not aligned, interference or decoding failure may occur. The disclosure enables procedures for performing DMRS shifting in multiple TRP modes. For example, the DMRS symbols of both transmissions may be shifted responsive to determining an overlap for one transmission. Such shifting may enable the alignment of the DMRS locations for both transmissions to enable decoding of the transmissions.
