  • Publication number: 20240167035
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to RNAi agents, e.g., double stranded RNAi agents or siRNAs, able to inhibit Complement Component C3 (C3) gene expression. Also disclosed are pharmaceutical compositions that include C3 RNAi agents and methods of use thereof The C3 RNAi agents disclosed herein may be conjugated to targeting ligands, including ligands that comprise N-acetyl-galactosamine, to facilitate the delivery to hepatocyte cells. Delivery of the C3 RNAi agents in vivo provides for inhibition of C3 gene expression. The RNAi agents can be used in methods of treatment of diseases, disorders, or symptoms mediated in part by C3 gene expression, including IgA nephropathy, C3 glomerulopathy, paroxysmal nocturnal hemoglobinuria, and/or other complement-mediated renal diseases.

  • Patent number: 11918881
Abstract: Described herein is a swivel mount for rotatably coupling a display to the frame of an exercise machine. The swivel mount includes a rigid arm fixed to one of the display or the terminal end of a frame member, the arm terminating with a ball at its free end. A socket is defined at the other one of the display or frame member which rotatably received the ball. A rotational resistance mechanism is operatively associated with the socket to selectively engage the ball and resist the rotation of the swivel mount. In some embodiments, the arm of the swivel mount may rotate in a conical range of motion for repositioning the display in relation to the frame while the display remains in a fixed position relative to the arm.

  • Publication number: 20240038897
Abstract: A thin-film transistor comprises an annealed layer comprising crystalline zinc oxide. A passivation layer is adjacent to the thin-film transistor. The passivation layer has a thickness and material composition such that when a dose of radiation from a radiation source irradiates the thin-film transistor, a portion of the dose that includes an approximate maximum concentration of the dose is located within the annealed layer. The annealed layer has a thickness and threshold displacement energies after it has been annealed such that: a) a difference between a transfer characteristic value of the thin-film transistor before and after the dose is less than a first threshold; and b) a difference between a transistor output characteristic value of the thin-film before and after the dose is less than a second threshold. The thresholds are based on a desired performance of the thin-film transistor.

  • Patent number: 11883709
Abstract: An adjustable exercise machine for performing resistance exercises comprises a base and an upper frame including front and back end stationary exercise platforms, and a movable exercise platform that reciprocates between the stationary platforms. A plurality of biasing members is selectable by an exerciser via selector knobs to generate a bias force against the movable platform. A plurality of pivotable lift supports are connected between the base and the upper frame. Front and back actuators are connected between the base and the lift supports by lifting yokes to selectively raise and lower the front and back ends of the machine. The movable platform may be connected to move along the exercise machine by trolley wheel assemblies. A plurality of travel limit decelerators mounted on the rails engage and rapidly decelerates the movable platform as it reaches its limits of travel on the rails.

  • Publication number: 20230348905
Abstract: Described are methods of reducing liver Z-AAT protein levels in a human subject with a PiZZ genotype of alpha-1 antitrypsin (AAT) by using pharmaceutical compositions that include AAT RNAi agents. The pharmaceutical compositions disclosed herein that include AAT RNAi agents, when administered to a human subject with a PiZZ mutation, lead to a reduction in liver Z-AAT protein levels, including both soluble and insoluble Z-AAT protein. Such reductions can lead to the treatment of liver diseases associated with AAT deficiency such as chronic hepatitis, cirrhosis, increased risk of hepatocellular carcinoma, transaminitis, cholestasis, fibrosis, fulminant hepatic failure, and other liver-related diseases.
