  • Publication number: 20240331453
Abstract: An aircraft-based system and method for automated reporting and logging of aircraft maintenance events receives flight deck effects (FDEs) with correlated maintenance messages indicating maintenance statuses (e.g., faults and/or failures) and/or Air Transport Association (ATA) classifications for each reporting aircraft system, subsystem or component. The logging system generates event messages based on each received FDE, predicting additional information based on the correlated maintenance message such as recommended maintenance actions, replacement parts or components, and/or Minimum Equipment List (MEL) actions associated with a component fault or failure. Event messages are automatically transmitted via datalink to ground-based maintenance and dispatch. Further, event messages are automatically logged to an aircraft maintenance log.

  • Publication number: 20240320004
Abstract: A method to compare first and second source data in a processor in response to a vector maximum with indexing instruction includes specifying first and second source registers containing first and second source data, a destination register storing compared data, and a predicate register. Each of the registers includes a plurality of lanes. The method includes executing the instruction by, for each lane in the first and second source register, comparing a value in the lane of the first source register to a value in the corresponding lane of the second source register to identify a maximum value, storing the maximum value in a corresponding lane of the destination register, asserting a corresponding lane of the predicate register if the maximum value is from the first source register, and de-asserting the corresponding lane of the predicate register if the maximum value is from the second source register.

  • Patent number: 12099400
Abstract: This invention is a streaming engine employed in a digital signal processor. A fixed data stream sequence is specified by a control register. The streaming engine fetches stream data ahead of use by a central processing unit and stores it in a stream buffer. Upon occurrence of a fault reading data from memory, the streaming engine identifies the data element triggering the fault preferably storing this address in a fault address register. The streaming engine defers signaling the fault to the central processing unit until this data element is used as an operand. If the data element is never used by the central processing unit, the streaming engine never signals the fault. The streaming engine preferably stores data identifying the fault in a fault source register. The fault address register and the fault source register are preferably extended control registers accessible only via a debugger.

  • Publication number: 20240312204
Abstract: An implement management system detects implement wear and monitors implement states to modify operating modes of a vehicle. The system can determine implement wear using the pull of the implement on the vehicle, the force and angle of which is represented by an orientation vector. The system may measure a current orientation vector and determine an expected orientation vector using sensors and a model (e.g., a machine learned model). Additionally, the implement management system can determine an implement state based on images of the soil and the implement captured by a camera onboard the vehicle during operation. The system may apply different models to the images to determine a likely state of the implement. The difference between the expected and current orientation vectors or the determined implement state may be used to determine whether and how the vehicle's operating mode should be modified.
