  • Patent number: 12003706
Abstract: Decoding video data includes, for a block encoded using a prediction mode, determining a transform mode for the block using the prediction mode. The transform mode is a first mode when the prediction mode is an inter-prediction mode and is a second mode when the prediction mode is an intra-prediction mode. The first mode is an available first transform type that is a combination of transforms selected from first fixed transforms and first learned transforms that each comprise a respective transformation matrix generated iteratively using blocks predicted using the inter-prediction mode. The second mode is an available second transform type that is a combination of transforms selected from second fixed transforms, which is a proper subset of the first fixed transforms, and a second learned transform comprising a transformation matrix that is generated iteratively using blocks predicted using the intra-prediction mode. Decoding the block uses the prediction and transform modes.

  • Publication number: 20240179213
Abstract: Support of coexistence of wireless transmission equipment in shared wireless medium environments is disclosed, which is applicable to various types of wireless transmission equipment. For instance, a wireless power transmission system (WPTS) delivers power to wireless power receiver clients via transmission of wireless power signals using one or more frequencies and/or channels within shared wireless medium environments in which other wireless equipment is operating, such as access points and stations in wireless local area networks (WLANs). The WPTS is configured to co-exist with the operations of the other wireless equipment within the shared wireless medium environment by adapting its transmission operations to utilize frequencies or channels that do not interfere with other equipment and/or implementing co-channel and shared channels operations under which access to channels is implemented using standardized WLAN protocols such as PHY and MAC protocols used for 802.11 (Wi-Fi™) networks.

  • Publication number: 20240173891
Abstract: A method of plugging channels of a honeycomb body and a honeycomb body including plugged channels. The method includes applying a shear force to a plugging mixture including a plurality of inorganic particles, clay, and a liquid vehicle to alter the viscosity of the plugging mixture from a first viscosity prior to the vibrating to a second viscosity which is less than the first viscosity. A honeycomb body is placed into contact with the plugging mixture such that a portion of the plugging mixture having the second viscosity flows into the plurality of channels. Application of the shear force is stopped or reduced to increase the viscosity of the portion of the plugging mixture in the plurality of channels to greater than the first viscosity.

  • Publication number: 20240176763
Abstract: Techniques for accessing data objects using UDF streams include decoding by at least one hardware processor of a first computing node, a first request for a UDF. The first request is generated at a second computing node by one of a plurality of input streams of the UDF. A second request for one or more data objects associated with the UDF is generated at the first computing node using an execution thread assigned to the first request. An authorization of the execution thread is performed using data access rights assigned to the first request. The one or more data objects are retrieved based on the authorization in response to the second request. The one or more data objects are stored in a storage location accessible by the execution thread.

  • Patent number: 11993998
Abstract: A device, system and method are provided for using a seal sub to isolate a well. The seal sub generally has a primary channel extending through the seal sub and seat positioned within the primary channel. As a ball setting tool passes through the seal sub and the seat, a ball connected to the setting tool with a shear pin contacts the seat and selectively connects to the seal sub. A predetermined force can be applied to the ball setting tool to break the shear pin, which leaves the seal ball in place, and the seal sub and the seal ball isolate the downhole pressures and contents from the uphole pressures and contents.

  • Patent number: 11991946
Abstract: Implementations are disclosed for adaptively adjusting various parameters of equipment in unpredictable terrain, such as agricultural fields. In various implementations, edge computing device(s) may obtain a first image captured by vision sensor(s) transported across an agricultural field by a vehicle. The first image may depict plant(s) growing in the agricultural area. The edge computing device(s) may process the first image based on a machine learning model to generate agricultural inference(s) about the plant(s) growing in the agricultural area. The edge computing device(s) may determine a quality metric for the agricultural inference(s). While the vehicle continues to travel across the agricultural field, and based on the quality metric: the edge computing device(s) may trigger one or more hardware adjustments to one or more of the vision sensors, or one or more adjustments in an operation of the vehicle.

  • Patent number: 11993930
Abstract: Louvered roof systems are provided with one or more louvers. Such louvers can be combined in an assembly that is movable between an open condition and a closed condition. In the closed condition, louvers in the assembly engage one another. In such engagement, a leg extending generally transversely from one louver may include a wing that extends generally transversely to the leg and that abuts a surface of an adjacent louver. Additionally or alternatively, in such engagement, a leg extending transversely from one louver may be received in a notch in an adjacent louver. An end cap can include a downwardly extending flange that directs liquid flow from a louver's top surface and past its bottom surface to form droplets or streams to fall from a lower part of the flange and prevent travel of the liquid flow along the bottom surface of the louver.
