  • Patent number: 11505443
Abstract: A fluid mixture dispensing system using a membrane to seal multiple reservoirs is disclosed. The multiple reservoirs each contain a respective ingredient. The reservoirs are coupled to respective orifices in a plate. The respective ingredients are dispensable via the respective orifices. The membrane seals the respective orifices. The ingredients are dispensed into one or more channels formed between the membrane and the plate. In specific embodiments, the membrane is an integral part of a cartridge which contains the multiple reservoirs. In specific embodiments, the cartridge includes an inlet and an outlet. A solvent flows from the inlet to the outlet through the one or more channels, and the ingredients are dispensed into the solvent in the one or more channels.

  • Patent number: 11509744
Abstract: A resource management system may use information regarding the bandwidth status of a downstream communication path to determine what portion of queued content should be sent in the current available bandwidth timeslot. In some embodiments, multiple versions of the same requested content may be available, and the system may select a lower-quality version to send if needed to meet a time deadline included in the original content request.

  • Publication number: 20220365586
Abstract: A dynamic peak power management system may prevent brownouts while improving performance and user experience compared to conventional techniques. A current threshold may be set below the maximum current capability (Imax) of a battery. If the current drawn from the battery exceeds the current threshold repeatedly, then system components may be throttled to decrease their peak power usage. If the current drawn from the battery stays below the current threshold for some time, then system components may be unthrottled to improve performance. This dynamic adaptable technique for managing peak power does not unnecessarily sacrifice performance by preemptively throttling system components to avoid the rare worst-case scenario where power spikes of system components perfectly align in time.

  • Patent number: 11498019
Abstract: A multi-phase separation apparatus shapes a fluid stream in a flow shaping line having a plurality of descending, vertically stacked curvilinear loops disposed along a fluid vessel vertical axis, stratifying the fluid stream into a primarily liquid component and a primarily gaseous component. At a point below plurality of loops, the primarily gaseous component is bled off from the primary liquid component. The primarily gaseous component may be introduced into a vortex cluster to further separate liquid entrained in the gaseous component, which separated liquid may then be combined back with the primarily liquid component. The vertically stacked curvilinear loops may be disposed within a fluid vessel to protect and insulate the loops or may be disposed about the exterior of the vessel. The vortex cluster system may be positioned within the vessel and may employ vortex tubes deployed along either a linear flow channel or a spiral flow channel.

  • Patent number: 11503095
Abstract: Aspects of the disclosure relate to control of consumption of content in an appliance. The content can include linear programming and non-linear assets. Such control can permit (i) changing a channel in the appliance (e.g., a CPE without upstream functionality) and thus selecting a linear-programming asset, a non-linear asset, and so forth, and (ii) controlling consumption of such assets. In one aspect, a device with upstream network connectivity can control the consumption of media in the appliance. The device can leverage data management and control functionality of a service provider network to acquire information related to assets available for consumption and to transmit asset requests to the service provider network, which can transmit content and signaling to the appliance in accordance at least in part with the asset request, thus controlling media consumption in the appliance.

  • Publication number: 20220341079
Abstract: A method of operating a washing appliance includes obtaining images of a wash chamber using a camera assembly while the wash basket is tumbling a load of clothes positioned therein. The one or more images are analyzed using a machine learning image recognition process to determine a tumble condition of the load of clothes in the wash basket, e.g., whether the clothes are tumbling in the wash basket in a manner that generates suitable mechanical washing action. The motor assembly is then used to adjust a basket speed based at least in part on determining that the tumble condition deviates from a target tumble condition.

  • Patent number: 11472460
Abstract: A cart is disclosed which is capable of being wheeled to a vehicle and mounted thereon through a mount secure coupling attached to the cart and a secure receiver attached to the vehicle. Upon secure attachment to the vehicle, the carts undercarriage assembly including wheels are capable of being retracted into the top deck assembly of the cart. Therefore, the vehicle maintains clearance from the road even after the cart is attached. Upon reaching a destination, the undercarriage of the cart is lowered and the cart is detached from the vehicle. The cart is then able to be wheeled away. The cart allows for transportation of loads without the need for the operator to actually carry either the load or the cart at any stage from start to finish or perform any additional steps to safe and securely attach the cart to the vehicle.
