Abstract: A system is provided for automatically shutting off a running internal combustion engine after a predetermined length of idle time has occurred, for installation into a vehicle having electronic diagnostic and control computers incorporated to the vehicle. A first switching apparatus is provided, having open and closed modes for disabling and enabling the ignition system respectively. A second switching apparatus is provided, having open and closed modes for disabling and enabling the ignition system. A data collection device receives data from the connected vehicle diagnostic port including: battery level, engine RPM, vehicle speed, door ajar status, ambient temperature, handbrake status and brake pedal position. A computer is programmed to determine if the data from the diagnostic port set up the prerequisites to safe shutdown engine running operation, and to signal the first and second switching apparatuses to shut down the vehicle engine.

Abstract: A method of determining the location and status of a subject upon the occurrence of a trigger event comprises activating a sensor to a predetermined level corresponding to a class of event upon the occurrence of an event. An event signal is then transmitted to a central station indicating the class of event. Acknowledgement of receipt of signal is monitored and either acknowledgement of receipt signal is noted, or the event signal is retransmitted. Upon receipt of the acknowledgement signal, monitor mode is entered.

Abstract: The present invention relates to multicolor pad printing and, in particular to methods for printing a copy of a high quality multicolor image onto a substrate. The present invention is also concerned with objects having thereon a printed full-color process image of a high definition. The present invention provides a significant improvement upon known multicolor pad printing methods by combining known pad printing technologies with full-color printing process technologies. The method of the invention is very versatile and highly desirable since it allows for the first time to pad-print halftone multicolor images onto spherical, rounded, cylindrical and other unconventional shapes and surfaces.

Abstract: A device for delivering an audible message is described. It includes a housing adapted for releasable emplacement on an externally threaded bottle neck. The housing includes a substantially disc-shaped main body, and a downwardly depending skirt around the perimeter thereof. Circuit means are located within the housing and include means for securing thereto a source of electrical energy, and programmable means for encoding an audible message on the circuit means. A speaker is provided within the housing, electrically connected to the circuit means for delivering the audible message. Switch means are associated with the circuit means adapted to maintain the circuit in an open state whilst said housing is in releasable emplacement on a bottle, and to close the circuit upon removal of the housing from the bottle. Removable of the housing from the bottle causes the audible message to be delivered via the speaker.
