Abstract: A food slicer has a support member including a base portion and an upstanding portion. The upstanding portion includes a rotating cutting blade for slicing food product and at least one motor for rotating the cutting blade. The base portion includes a food product table movable across the cutting blade for holding product while it is being sliced. An adjustable gage plate as well as a gage plate adjustment mechanism are provided for slice thickness adjustment. A table interlock mechanism includes at least one cable member in operable communication with the gage plate adjustment mechanism where a distal end of the cable member is lockable within a portion of the gage plate adjustment mechanism upon longitudinal movement of the cable member substantially parallel to the axis of the gage plate adjustment mechanism when both the food product table and the gage plate are positioned in particular positions.

Abstract: A ring mechanism includes a chassis and a hinge blade coupled to the chassis. An actuator coupled to the chassis moves the hinge blade between a first position and a second position. A ring half coupled to the hinge blade is positioned in a closed position when the hinge blade is in the first position, and an open position when the hinge blade is in the second position. A dampening member is positioned at least partially between the inner surface of the chassis and the actuator to prevent at least a portion of the actuator from directly engaging the inner surface of the chassis during movement of the actuator between the first and second positions. A locked state indicator indicates to the user whether the ring mechanism is in a locked position or an unlocked position. The dampening member can function as the lock state indicator and vice versa.

A ring half is coupled to the hinge blade, the ring half movable between a closed position, when the hinge blade is in the first position, and an open position, when the hinge blade is in the second position. A sound deadening mechanism in the form of a dampening member is positioned at least partially between the chassis and the mounting surface to prevent the hinge blade from directly engaging the inner surface of the chassis.

Abstract: A book marker insertion apparatus includes a cartridge assembly, a separator assembly, a gripper assembly, an elevator assembly and a page spreader assembly. The cartridge assembly holds a roll of marker material including a plurality of markers on a backing sheet and advances the material to the separator assembly. The separator assembly includes jaws and a peel bar for removing the endmost marker from the backing sheet. The gripper assembly includes rotatable arms which grip the separated end marker and position the separated end marker for insertion into the book. The elevator raises and lowers the gripper assembly from the position for gripping the separated end marker to the position for inserting into the book. The page spreader assembly includes a V-arm with a slot formed therein-for receiving the gripper arms and the separated end marker.

Abstract: The specification discloses a pull-down, storage unit for use in overhead areas. The unit includes a bin and a frame for attaching the bin to a ceiling. The rear of the bin is pivotally suspended from the frame. The front of the bin is releasably secured to the frame by a cable and catch system and may be moved between a raised closed position and a lowered open position. The bin is secured on the frame when closed and suspended on the cables when open.
