  • Publication number: 20240123006
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to methods of feeding animals by providing feed additives that modulate the gut microbiome improve the health and welfare of the animal. The present disclosure further relates to methods of modulating level of secondary metabolites present in the gastrointestinal tract of an animal. Such modulation includes, for example, modulating the level of tryptophan metabolism derivates.

  • Publication number: 20240099274
Abstract: The present invention relates to a preferably computer-implemented method of raising a group of monogastric animals Issues such as exposure of the animals to an initiator of a disease are recognized at an early stage by ex vivo analysis of blood samples. Said analysis is done where the animals are raised using point-of-care devices. Accuracy of separation between affected and non-affected animals is increased by measuring a set of pre-determined blood parameters. The landless monogastric animal production system of the invention facilitates implementation of the method of the invention.

  • Publication number: 20230172233
Abstract: Offering broiler chickens a low protein diet supplemented with an array of synthetic amino acids is not fully effective in promoting maximal growth and both bodyweight and feed conversion ratio (FCR). However the present invention shows, growth rate and FCR can be promoted by the addition of available Phosphorus to the low protein diet and that this strategy is effective in restoring performance losses associated with the diet with low protein concentration. Therefore, the present invention relates to a method for improving the nutritional value of animal feed comprising a marginal protein content. More specifically, the invention relates to a method for improving weight gain and feed conversion ratio, which method comprises feeding the animal with a low protein diet and an extra supplementation of phosphorous.

  • Publication number: 20220330577
Abstract: The invention relates to the use of at least one bacterial phytase in combination with one or more protease(s) in animal feed for improving nutrient and E ileal digestibility of animal feed, in particular an improved digestibility of Threonine, Proline and Cysteine, the method comprising the step of applying to the animal a feed with an efficient amount of one or more proteolytic enzyme in combination with at least one phytase.

  • Patent number: 10765661
Abstract: The invention provides a method for improving growth performance animals. In particularly, the inventors of the invention found that the addition of a proteolytic enzyme (protease) to regular animal diets results in a significant improvement of growth performance if the proteolytic enzyme is supplemented and combined with vitamin C.
