  • Patent number: 10433041
Abstract: An outdoor loudspeaker that is weather resistant and includes environmental lighting is described. The lamp is mounted to a cap at the top of the loudspeaker. An audio driver is mounted below the lamp. A system outdoor loudspeakers is also described. The lighting circuitry and the audio circuitry is separate, e.g., separate conduits and wiring in the loudspeaker. The cap can include a light guide, e.g., a lens centrally mounted in the cap or an opaque cover to direct the light downwardly and outwardly. At least part of the loudspeaker can be mounted underground and, in the case of a sub-woofer, the entire chamber can be mounted below ground.

  • Patent number: 8654995
Abstract: An audio control system may receive a plurality of audio input signals. A switch or multiplexer may switch one of the plurality of audio input signals from respective audio sources to a power amplifier. A controller in communication with the multiplexer may control switching of the multiplexer. A display may provide the user with information regarding the switching of the audio signal inputs. A user interface may permit the user to manually switch the audio source. A signal detector in communication with an audio input signal may detect a signal from a priority source. When the signal from the priority source is detected, the controller may direct the multiplexer to route the signal from the priority source to the power amplifier.

  • Patent number: 7158648
Abstract: A loudspeaker system has an extended bass or low frequency response. The loudspeaker system integrates a passive radiator with a transducer. The loudspeaker system also mechanically isolates the passive radiator and the transducer. A support mechanism mechanically grounds vibrations or other forces from the transducer and passive radiator that may interfere or affect the operation of the loudspeaker.

  • Patent number: 5859917
Abstract: A flush-mount swivel tweeter system for vehicular audio utilizes a tweeter unit enclosed in hemispherical shell housing, which fits in a swivel manner into a mating cavity in a mounting bushing configured externally with a threaded sleeve having a thin peripheral decorative front flange. The resulting swivel tweeter assembly can be flush-mounted through a round opening provided in the host panel. The flange is secured against the panel by a large mounting nut threaded onto the mounting bushing from the rear. A circular aiming range is available by a combination of swivelling the tweeter unit off-axis and rotating the entire assembly in the panel opening. Once aimed, the swivel tweeter is clamped in place by a nut and washer at the rear, and the mounting bushing is secured in place by tightening the large mounting nut against the rear of the panel.
