  • Patent number: 10703250
Abstract: A structure such as a toy hauler recreational vehicle includes a bed lift that moves a bed vertically between a lowered position, a raised position, and an upright position. The bed is oriented horizontally and positioned to receive one or more persons to sleep on it in the lowered position. The bed is oriented horizontally and stowed adjacent to a ceiling of the vehicle in the raised position. At least a portion of the bed is oriented vertically and stowed adjacent to a wall of the structure when the bed is in the upright position. The bed lift can include a mounting member that: (a) moves between a first position where the bed is oriented horizontally and a second position where the bed is oriented vertically and/or (b) is vertically offset to allow the bed to be lowered below or adjacent to the bottom of the bed lift.

  • Patent number: 10463161
Abstract: A structure includes an item of furniture coupled to a lift system. The lifting system is configured to move the item of furniture vertically along a path between a lowered position and a raised position. The item of furniture is coupled to the lifting system in a manner that allows the item of furniture to move upward along the path when the lifting system is stationary. When the item of furniture is in the lowered position, it is supported on the floor of the structure. This configuration allows the item of furniture to float relative to the lifting system so that when the item of furniture reaches the lowered position, it is supported only by the floor and not the lifting system.

  • Patent number: 9010473
Abstract: A motorized retractable step apparatus includes one or more steps that move between a retracted position and a deployed position. The step apparatus includes a drive member that spans the length of the step apparatus and rotates to retract or deploy the steps. The step apparatus uses a direct drive configuration to transfer power from an electric motor to the drive member. The step apparatus can also includes a brake coupled to the electric motor and/or extruded aluminum steps. These features simplify construction of the step apparatus and make it more reliable than conventional motorized steps.

  • Publication number: 20130088490
Abstract: A system and method is presented for virtually fitting clothing, jewelry, hats, or eyewear frames utilizing 3D scans of a user's face and/or body. The system and method include inputting a 3D scan of a user's face and a 3D model of the item into the software. The 3D image of the item to be fitted is placed on the face or body image resulting from the 3D scan and is iteratively moved until collision is detected between the 3D model of the item and the 3D model of the face or body. A recommendation engine can be used to recommend different items to the user based on the virtual fit. Eyewear frames may be recommended based on testing each model to determine if temple pieces are long enough to get over the ear and if flex is too great or too small.
