  • Publication number: 20240129714
Abstract: A method for provisioning a communication device with an embedded subscriber identity module (eSIM) profile. The method includes releasing a first eSIM profile by an eSIM management server hosting a plurality of unallocated eSIM profiles, and registering the release of the first eSIM profile by a discovery server. The method additionally includes requesting at least some of the information related to the release of the first eSIM profile from the discovery server, wherein the request includes an international mobile equipment identity (IMEI) of the communication device, and retrieving an address of the eSIM management server by the discovery server based on the IMEI. The method further includes providing the address to a local provisioning assistant (LPA) of the communication device by the discovery server, and provisioning the communication device with the first eSIM profile from the eSIM management server by the LPA of the communication device.

  • Publication number: 20220394816
Abstract: In User Equipment (UE) at various geographic locations, circuitry exchanges TCP packets with radios, and the radios wirelessly exchange the TCP packets with wireless communication nodes. The circuitry determines TCP retransmission rates for the radios at the geographic locations. The circuitry estimates TCP retransmission rates for the radios at a new geographic location based on the TCP retransmission rates for the radios at the past geographic locations. The circuitry selects one of the radios based on the estimated TCP retransmission rates at the new geographic location. At the new geographic location, the circuitry exchanges new TCP packets with the selected one of the radios, and the selected one of the radios wirelessly exchanges the new TCP packets with one of the wireless communication nodes.

  • Patent number: 11445570
Abstract: A mobile User Equipment (UE) uses Transmission Control Protocol (TCP) to deliver mobile data services over different radios. The mobile UE qualifies the individual radios that have adequate signal strength at a geographic location. The mobile UE estimates TCP retransmission rates at the location for the qualified radios. The mobile UE identifies individual qualified radios that have adequate TCP retransmission rate estimates. The mobile UE selects one of the identified radios that has the lowest power usage. The mobile UE exchanges TCP packets over the selected radio which includes participating in TCP retransmissions at the location. The selected radio wirelessly exchanges the TCP packets with a wireless access node. The mobile UE stores resulting TCP retransmission data for the selected radio in association with the location for future TCP retransmission rate estimates.

  • Patent number: 9791843
Abstract: Embodiments disclosed herein provide systems and methods for unlocking a wireless communication device into an operating mode based on RFID element information. In a particular embodiment, a method provides locking a user interface on the wireless communication device. The method further provides receiving a wireless signal from a first Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) element and responsively determining if the wireless signal comprises a valid unlock instruction. If the first signal comprises the valid unlock instruction, then the method provides selecting one of the operating modes for the wireless communication device, unlocking the user interface on the wireless communication device, and operating the wireless communication device in the selected operating mode.

  • Patent number: 9768547
Abstract: A water resistant port and a method for using it are provided. The port comprises a moveable seal assembly coupled to a spring structure. The moveable seal assembly may comprise a plastic material on an inner surface and a seal material on an outer surface. When the spring structure is in a relaxed position, the moveable seal assembly is caused to create a seal with a gasket material coupled to a side wall of a port casing. The spring structure comprises a spring coupled to the moveable seal assembly at one end and to a guide at an opposite end in an interior portion of the port casing. The port casing comprises, on an interior surface, one or more electrical connectors adapted to receive one or more electrical contacts of an accessory plug when the spring structure is compressed and the moveable seal assembly is in an engaged position.

  • Publication number: 20070271155
Abstract: A portal for a computer network for viewing and sharing information related to real property includes a web page for a registered user displaying a plurality of real property listings resulting from a search of current real property listings and a plurality of agent identifiers displayed on the web page representing real property agents associated with the registered user. Information is dragged and dropped by the registered user onto the agent identifier to share the information with the real property agent. Each of the real property agents preferably has a unique agent icon and the unique agent icons are displayed near information associated with the real property agent identified by the unique agent icon. The real property listings are preferably displayed on graphical images of cards.
