  • Patent number: 11517863
Abstract: A sink is configured to attach to a bottom surface of a flowline that is configured to flow a mixture of at least two immiscible fluids. One of the immiscible fluids is water. The water is more dense than the other of the at least two immiscible fluids. An outlet formed at a bottom portion of the sink. A valve system is connected to the opening. The valve system is configured to open the outlet in response to the water occupying at least a portion of the sink.

Date of Patent: December 6, 2022
    Assignee: Saudi Arabian Oil Company
Inventors: Alwaleed Abdullah Al-Gouhi, Nabil S. Alkhanaifer, Abdullah M. Al-Zahrani, Mutaz Al Daas, Rayid S. Al-Anazi, Yaseen Abdulhameed Bokhamseen, Abdullah S. Alsaddah, Jana Mohammed Aljindan
  • Patent number: 10865627
Abstract: A system for producing hydrocarbons from a subterranean well includes an electrical submersible pump assembly with a motor, a seal section, and a pump. A packer assembly with a mechanical valve is retrievable with the electrical submersible pump assembly and is a primary high pressure mechanical barrier. A shroud fully encapsulates the electrical submersible pump assembly. An annular seal assembly seals around an outer diameter of the shroud, the shroud and the annular seal assembly together being a secondary high pressure mechanical barrier.

  • Patent number: 10677030
Abstract: An electrical submersible pump assembly for producing hydrocarbons from a subterranean well includes a motor-seal click connector releasably connecting a motor to a seal section and engaged by relative axial movement between the motor and the seal section, and a pump-seal click connector releasably connecting the pump to the seal section and engaged by relative axial movement between the pump and the seal section. Electrical conductors are located within a sidewall of the motor housing, a sidewall of the seal section housing, and a sidewall of the pump housing. A male motor-seal electrical connector is axially extending and electrically connects the electrical conductors of the motor housing with the electrical conductors of the seal section housing. A male pump-seal electrical connector is axially extending and electrically connects the electrical conductors of the pump housing with the electrical conductors of the seal section housing.
