  • Patent number: 4102367
Abstract: A system for filling containers such as for example, bottle molds intended for slush molding, with liquid such as slip. The containers are arranged along a line which is parallel with a track that guides the movement of a carriage. The carriage carries an arm that swings between two positions, one of which is raised above the line of the containers to permit movement of the carriage without interfering with the containers when desired, and the other of which is below the carriage and bringing the arm to a filling position relative to a container. The arm carries a filling nozzle which is intended to enter the mouth of the container, the nozzle having a probe which dips down into the container. Electrical circuitry is provided which for the most part is carried in the carriage, such circuitry cooperating with the probe of the nozzle and sensing elements on the track and carriage.
