  • Patent number: 11144401
Abstract: A system and method of performing an incremental backup process are disclosed. In certain aspects, the method comprises retrieving a first metadata associated with a previous backup process of a component from a backup location in a storage. The method further comprises passing the first metadata to the component for determining incremental backup data of the component corresponding to a difference between current data of the component and data of the component associated with the previous backup process. The method further comprises receiving information indicative of the incremental backup data from the component. The method further comprises receiving, from the component, a second metadata associated with the incremental backup process. The method also comprises storing the incremental backup data and the second metadata as associated with the incremental backup process.

  • Patent number: 11074060
Abstract: The disclosure provides an approach for recommending and installing a patch onto a first computing device, comprising: parsing a machine-readable document for a property variable and a possible value of the property variable, wherein the combination of the property variable and the possible value represents a criticality of installing the patch; transmitting a request to the first computing device for a first value of the first computing device, the first value representing a state of the first computing device corresponding to the property variable; receiving the first value; comparing the possible value to the first value; based on the comparing, performing a first determination of the criticality of installing the patch onto the first computing device; and based on the criticality of installing the patch, installing the patch onto the first computing device.

  • Patent number: 9819515
Abstract: Methods and systems for network communication are provided. A method includes maintaining a first segment of a routing data structure at a first switching module of a network adapter for routing a frame between virtual machines executed by a computing device operationally coupled to the network adapter; maintaining a second segment of the routing data structure at a second switching module for routing a frame received at a port of the network adapter to an external destination; receiving a frame from the computing device and using the first segment by the first switching module to route the frame to a destination virtual machine; and receiving a frame at a port of the network adapter and using the second segment of the routing structure by the second switching module to the route the frame to its destination without providing the frame to the computing device.

  • Publication number: 20130343186
Abstract: Manageability tools are provided for allowing an administrator to have better control over switches in a lossless network of switches. These tools provide the ability to detect slow drain and congestion bottlenecks, detect stuck virtual channels and loss of credits, while hold times on edge ASICs to be different from hold times encore ASICs, and mitigate severe latency bottlenecks.
