  • Patent number: 10137701
Abstract: The present invention relates to a printing system for cut sheets. The printing system comprises a control unit for controlling the printing of image data on a plurality of sheets which comprise at least one speciality sheet intended to be one-sided printed and at least one duplex sheet intended to be two-sided printed. The control unit schedules the plurality of sheets in a printing order. A paper path of the printing system comprises a duplex printing loop, a first turn station arranged in the duplex printing loop for turning a sheet of the plurality if both sides of the sheet are scheduled to be printed in two passes along a print engine arranged in the duplex printing loop and configured to dispose marking material on the sheets according to the image data, in two passes, one side per pass, and a second turn station arranged in an output section for turning the sheet before laying the sheet off in an output holder of the output section.

  • Patent number: 9891869
Abstract: A method is provided for printing a digital document on a plurality of cut sheets arranged in a cut sheet printing sequence order resulting in at least one reader spread in an end product, each cut sheet having a first side and a second side, the at least one reader spread consisting of two neighboring sides, each neighboring side of which is of a different cut sheet of the plurality of cut sheets and is intended to be printed upon by a digital page image of the digital document. The method includes the step of, for each reader spread in an end product, printing each digital page image corresponding to the reader spread on the first side of the corresponding cut sheet or printing each digital page image corresponding to the reader spread on the second side of the corresponding cut sheet. A cut sheet printing system is configured to apply the method.

  • Patent number: 9533520
Abstract: A method of printing on a mixed sequence of media sheets uses a printer with a print head that is adjustable in height relative to a print surface that supports the media sheets. The media sheets differ in their specifications that define an admissible range for the height of the print head. The method includes the steps of retrieving admissible height ranges for a plurality of media sheets that are scheduled for printing, searching for a height value that is contained in the admissible range of all scheduled sheets, if such a height value is found, adjusting the print head to that height value, and if such height value is not found, proceeding to a problem handling routine.

  • Patent number: 9087054
Abstract: A management method and management system for physically managing data that represents an image for eventual presentation to a user, based on the data, wherein the data is first acquired from an appropriate image source in a source representation, next, the data in source representation is selectively converted to data in destination representation, using the selective storing of managed data as an intermediate item.

  • Publication number: 20120287464
Abstract: A method is provided to synchronize media lists of several devices in a general architecture of devices by supplementing a media list of a first device with entries from a media list of a second device, even if the media associated with an entry is not applicable in the first device. This has the advantage that entries from the media list of the second device may be passed to a third device without the second and third device being connected to a network at the same time. Entries from media lists are considered to be associated with the same media, if the identification attributes, which may be more than one attribute, are equal. In that case, the additional attributes of the entry are supplemented according to merging rules that depend on the kind of attributes.
