  • Publication number: 20230404061
Abstract: An animal call for hands-free use may mimic a cow elk and attract both cow and bull elk. The call is inserted partially into the user's mouth, with an inner end inside the user's mouth between the user's front teeth, and with the outer end extending from the teeth and lips to be outside the user's mouth. The call may be operated by: 1) inhaling air into and through the call and into the user's mouth, for example, at various strengths/volumes, to create the call sound, and 2) changing the user's front teeth pressure against the housing to modify/modulate the sound to be realistic and life-like. Changes in the teeth pressure compress the game call body to various extents, pushing a tongue-like structure inside the call up to engage the diaphragm to various extents, thereby modifying and varying the sounds produced.

  • Patent number: 10663261
Abstract: An optical aiming scope mount (10) includes a base (12) configured to attach to a weapon system. At least two longitudinally spaced apart scope mounting rings (14, 16) are on the base. A first chamber (34) is formed in a portion of the base (12). A plurality of electrical connectors (38) on the base (12) are operatively joined by a circuit (46) at least partially located in the first chamber (34) to provide a power/data distribution bus.

  • Publication number: 20200132421
Abstract: Provided is a centerfire rifle cartridge. A case has a head end, an open mouth end for receiving a projectile, and a central axis. The head end has a base portion substantially conforming to that of a .50 BMG cartridge. The case has a case wall with a taper of up to 1.0° relative to the central axis. A frusto-conical shoulder portion extends from the case wall and has an angle of approximately 40° relative to the central axis. A neck portion extends from the shoulder portion and has a mouth sized to receive a .375 caliber (9.5 mm) projectile.

  • Patent number: 10534166
Abstract: An optical projection system (12) for a weapon system aiming scope (10) having at least objective and ocular lenses (24, 26) defining an optical path through which a target image (30) is observed. The projection system (12) includes a primary beamsplitter (62) positioned in the optical path, a secondary beamsplitter (64) positioned adjacent the primary beamsplitter (62) and off the optical path, a micro-display (60) that provides a data image (38, 88) containing targeting information (100, 101, 102, 104, 106, 108, 110, 112), and an illumination source (52). The illumination source (52) generates light directed through the secondary beamsplitter (64) to illuminate and reflect off the micro-display (60) so as to define a reflected data image (88), and the secondary beamsplitter (64) directs the reflected data image (88) into the primary beamsplitter (62).
