  • Patent number: 8374329
Abstract: During establishing a communication or power characteristics, an idle state is activated such that a communication terminal is at least temporarily unattainable. The idle state results in reducing electric power consumption in the communication terminal for which switchings off such as Always-on-Device are not provided.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: August 24, 2006
Date of Patent: February 12, 2013
Assignee: Siemens Enterprise Communications GmbH Co. KG
    Inventor: Achim Ackermann-Markes
  • Patent number: 7961718
Abstract: A connection addressed via a directory number is set up to a terminal by setting up a partial connection to a communication device, with determined additional information being conveyed to the communication device as part of the partial connection. As a result of said partial connection and depending on the additional information conveyed, the partial connection is further switched to the terminal by the communication device.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: May 30, 2006
Date of Patent: June 14, 2011
Assignee: Siemens Enterprise Communications GmbH & Co. KG
    Inventors: Achim Ackermann-Markes, Jürgen Brieskorn

  • Patent number: 7508775
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for the automatic configuration of a communications device using a reserved identification number, at least one network node device, which administers an associated subnetwork of a network, at least one virtual network, with which the communications device is associated, whereby data packets exchanged within the virtual network are tagged with the reserved identification number. According to the inventive method, a network address of the subnetwork is determined by a network element arranged in the network. A configuration message adjusted with the network address of the subnetwork as the target address is transmitted by the network element to the network node device, which message is transmitted by the network node device to the virtual network as a broadcast message tagged with the reserved identification number. The broadcast message is received by the communications device and the communications device is configured using the identification number.

  • Patent number: 7251482
Abstract: A method for providing absence information in a telecommunication system comprising several subscribers, wherein the absence information is produced and captured by a first subscriber terminal. The presence information is transmitted to a switching node and stored therein. The switching node transmits the absence information to a second subscriber terminal such that the absence information is continuously available. Known absence text and station guarding services are used to produce and store absence information.

  • Publication number: 20060166654
Abstract: Disclosed is a method for providing absence information in a telecommunication system comprising several subscribers, wherein the absence information is produced and captured by means of a first subscriber on a first terminal which is associated with said subscriber. The presence information is then transmitted to a switching node and stored therein. The switching node transmits the absence information to a second terminal which is associated with a second subscriber such that the absence information is continuously available. The known performance characteristics absence text and station guarding of a telecommunication system are used in order to produce and store absence information.
