  • Patent number: 11633979
Abstract: A method for producing a drop centre rim and to a drop centre rim for vehicle wheels of commercial vehicles. The rim has a plurality of zones, which form an inner rim flange and an outer rim flange, an inner steep-tapered bead seat and an outer steep-tapered bead seat and a rim drop centre with a drop centre base, an inner drop centre flank and an outer drop centre flank between the steep-tapered bead seats, wherein one of the zones is provided as a disc attachment region for a wheel disc, and the drop centre rim has at least one partial zone with a reduced wall thickness relative to the other zones. It is envisaged that at least one of the steep-tapered bead seats, preferably both steep-tapered bead seats, has/have a section with a wall thickness reduction of more than 20% relative to the wall thickness in the zone provided as the disc attachment region, wherein the wall thickness reduction is produced during one of the profiling steps.

  • Patent number: 9631676
Abstract: A tripod joint including an outer joint member with several axially extending elongate tracks; an inner joint member with several radial axle journals distributed over the outer circumference thereof; at least a number of rollers corresponding to the number of axle journals, where the roller is respectively pivotably retained with a central bore on the associated axle journal and is in engagement with the elongate tracks, where the roller is accommodated in the associated track so as to be displaceable in the axial direction of the outer joint member; where each axle journal includes on its circumference two outer diametrically opposed spherical end faces for engagement into the bore, where the bore has a cylindrical portion for engagement with the spherical end faces in order to support the roller so as to be displaceable relative to the journal, and at least a constricted portion that is adjacent thereto in the axial direction, while forming a continuous transition, on one side of the cylindrical portion, a

  • Publication number: 20140309043
Abstract: The invention relates to a tripod joint (1) comprising the following: an outer joint member (2) with several axially extending elongate tracks (4) formed therein and distributed over the inner circumference thereof; an inner joint member (3) with several radial axle journals (5) distributed over the outer circumference thereof; at least a number of rollers (6) corresponding to the number of axle journals (5), wherein the roller (6) is respectively pivotably retained with a central bore (20) on the associated axle journal (5) and is in engagement with the elongate tracks (4), wherein the roller (6) is displaceable in the associated track (4) in the axial direction of the outer joint member (2); wherein each axle journal (5) comprises on its circumference two outer diametrically opposed spherical end faces (16) for engagement into the bore (20).

  • Publication number: 20100179014
Abstract: The invention relates to a torque-splitting differential (1) for a motor vehicle, comprising two coaxially aligned lateral differential gears (10, 10?) that are spaced apart in the axial direction, each lateral differential gear (10, 10?) being mounted to be rotatable about a common axis of rotation D. The differential has at least two compensating gears (20), each of which meshes with both lateral differential gears (10, 10?). A compensating gear support (30), on which the compensating gears (20) are rotatably mounted and which is arranged between the lateral differential gears (10, 10?), is mounted to be rotatable about the axis of rotation D. The lateral differential gears (10, 10?) are designed as crown gears, of which the teeth have different diameters. Furthermore, the compensating gears (20) are spur-cut gears while the compensating gear support (30) rotatably rests against the lateral differential gears (10, 10?).
