  • Patent number: 11673541
Abstract: A method for controlling a hydraulic brake system for a motor vehicle to carry out a braking operation by means of at least one wheel brake includes, in a first step, a pressure buildup in the wheel brake, wherein hydraulic fluid is passed to a wheel brake via a normally open inlet valve. In a second step, a pressure reduction takes place in the wheel brake, wherein hydraulic fluid is discharged from the wheel brake via an energized normally closed outlet valve. The pressure reduction at the wheel brake is accomplished by means of control of the outlet valve in a predefined manner.

  • Patent number: 11577703
Abstract: In a method for estimating the locking pressure in the brake system of a multi-axle vehicle during a dynamic axle-load transfer, the locking pressure is ascertained during the axle-load transfer and the wheel normal force is ascertained at two points in time during the axle-load transfer and the locking pressure is ascertained therefrom at the later point in time.

  • Publication number: 20220274570
Abstract: A method for operating an antilock brake system of a vehicle, in which a braking torque at at least one wheel of the vehicle is cyclically controlled in at least build-up phases and reduction phases, in order to prevent locking of the wheel. In a build-up phase, the braking torque is increased until a maximum adhesion at the wheel is exceeded, and in a subsequent reduction phase, the braking torque is reduced by a differential braking torque, which is ascertained, using a wheel acceleration value of the wheel measured after the build-up phase and a target acceleration value for the wheel.

  • Publication number: 20220250595
Abstract: A method for operating a brake system of a motor vehicle. The motor vehicle has a vehicle body and multiple wheels mounted relative to the vehicle body by a wheel suspension on the vehicle body. The vehicle body is capable of executing a pitching movement by the wheel suspension. The brake system has a wheel-individual wheel brake for at least some of the wheels. A pitch angle of the vehicle body is monitored, and the wheel brakes are actuated as a function of the acquired pitch angle. The pitch angle is calculated as a function of normal forces acting on the wheels.

  • Patent number: 9937909
Abstract: A method for operating a brake system in a motor vehicle, having at least one hydraulic circuit that has a hydraulic pump and at least two wheel brakes, at least one actuatable inlet valve being allocated to each wheel brake. The brake system is monitored for a driver's braking request. To acquire the driver's braking request, a first wheel behavior of at least one wheel allocated to one of the wheel brakes is acquired, such that, upon acquiring of an unexpected wheel behavior, the braking intervention is interrupted and a second wheel behavior of the wheel is acquired and compared to the first wheel behavior of the wheel, and the driver's braking request is recognized as a function of the comparison.

  • Patent number: 9227606
Abstract: A method for operating a braking system of a vehicle having at least one brake-able wheel, a braking force variable, which represents a braking force, of a braking device associated with the wheel being increased during a braking operation until a locking tendency of the wheel is recognized, and then reduced to a certain value. It is provided that the braking force variable is subsequently set to a setpoint braking force variable, which corresponds to a selectable portion of the braking force variable present at the recognition of the locking tendency, for a certain time period. Also described is a control unit for implementing the method.

  • Patent number: 9132816
Abstract: A brake system, and a method for operating a brake system of a vehicle. To reduce a braking force, brake fluid is able to be discharged from the braking device via a cross-section adjusting member which connects a delivery device to the braking device, in a controlled and/or regulated manner, into an intermediate reservoir and is delivered to the main brake cylinder using the delivery device. The discharge of the brake fluid from the braking device of the brake system takes place, at least at times, at a discharge volume flow that is greater than the maximum delivery volume flow of the delivery device, and when a certain operating state of the braking system occurs, the discharge volume flow is reduced.
