  • Patent number: 8951008
Abstract: The invention relates to a compressor blade of a compressor which, along a main axis, comprises a blade base, a platform area and an adjacent blade profile having a profile tip. The blade profile is configured by a convex wall at the suction end and a concave wall at the pressure end opposite the wall at the suction end. These surfaces extend, with respect to a flow medium, from a leading edge to a trailing edge, a profile center line extending in the center between the two. A front face is arranged on the profile tip at an angle to the main axis, a sealing lip at least partially extending from the leading edge to the trailing edge and the blade profile including the sealing lip having a blade profile height extending in the direction of the main axis. In order to allow for an inexpensive compressor blade having improved aerodynamic properties and a modified sealing lip while having the same sealing properties, the height of the sealing lip is less than 2 percent of the height of the blade profile.

  • Publication number: 20130216359
Abstract: An axial compressor is provided. The compressor has an annular flow channel, in which adjustable blades of a blade ring that extend through the flow channel are rotatably mounted. Each blade has a lug on the rotor-side of the vane for mounting an inner ring. In order to provide a wear-free, self-centering inner ring, the ring is designed as a split ring with two opposing ends and a spring element for spreading the split ring.

  • Publication number: 20110311355
Abstract: An axial turbo-compressor for a gas turbine having a stator vane assembly that is formed by stator vanes having vane tips exposed on the hub side and a stationary shaft cover on the hub side and delimits the flow channel of the axial compressor is provided. A radial gap is designed between the shaft cover and the van tips that is minimally sized such that the axial turbo-compressor may still be assembled, and there is a plurality of recesses in the shaft cover, wherein one of the recesses is allocated to each vane tip that is arranged directly neighboring the vane tip allocated thereto and is sized such that during operation of the axial turbo compressor every vane tip may be plunged into the recess allocated thereto without one of the vane tips significantly contacting the shaft cover.

  • Publication number: 20110236184
Abstract: An axial compressor for a gas turbine having passive radial gap control is provided. The axial compressor includes a guide vane support on which guide vanes are fastened so as to be arranged in a ring, wherein the vane tips of the guide vanes lie opposite a wall section. Thermal insulation is attached to the wall section in the section lying opposite the vane tips in order to equalize the expansion behavior of the guide vane support and the wall section, which by themselves react thermally in different manners, wherein the terminal insulation is matched in the heat input delay effect thereof to the wall section and to the guide vane support in such a way that the thermal expansion behavior of the guide vane support and the wall section is at least equalized over time during transient operation of the axial compressor.
