  • Patent number: 9873959
Abstract: With a method for controlling a piecing process for piecing up a yarn at a textile machine, in particular a spinning machine, by means of a piecing device, a multiple number of work steps as preparation for the actual piecing operation are carried out successively in a chronological sequence. In each case, a predetermined time period is allocated to the work steps. For at least one of the work steps, the predetermined time period can be varied, whereas the current time period of the work step is determined as a function of a yarn characteristic of the currently produced yarn and/or as a function of a utilization of the piecing device. A control unit is designed to operate the textile machine according to this method.

  • Publication number: 20170370025
Abstract: A method for operating a work station of a textile machine that produces or rewinds yarn in a normal operation, wherein the normal operation is interrupted. The method includes performing at least one service step for restoring the normal operation, wherein a service result is specified for the service step. A standard service operation is carried out with a service device until the service result has been achieved or a predetermined number of failed attempts has been reached. • Publication number: 20170362746
Abstract: A method optimizes production of a rotor spinning machine having a plurality of identical spinning units, with each spinning unit having a spinning rotor driven by a rotor drive at a rotor speed to produce yarn at a delivery speed. A permissible range with a minimum delivery speed and a maximum delivery speed for the delivery speed of the spinning units is specified. Operation of the spinning units is started with a starting delivery speed within the permissible range. Current production capacity of the spinning units or the rotor spinning machine is continuously calculated. Current delivery speed of the yarn is regulated as a function of the current production capacity in such a manner that a maximum production capacity is achieved. A rotor spinning machine in accordance with method is also provided.

  • Patent number: 8726624
Abstract: The method and corresponding device of yarn braking are provided by means of an attending device provided with a vacuum tube into which the end of the yarn is sucked in before commencement of braking. At drawing off from the vacuum tube, the yarn is braked between the braking surfaces of a stationary brake friction member and a moving brake friction member, which are arranged on the attending device displaceably to the track of the yarn. For generating the braking force, the moving brake friction member moves towards the stationary brake friction member and fits against it at a contact abscissa or a contact surface.
