    Abstract: A one-piece filter plate comprises a pair of webs surrounded by a flange, the webs and flange being integral with each other and of one-piece plastic construction. A pressure medium can be introduced between the webs to force them apart to dewater a filter cake that has built up between the outer surfaces of the webs and the corresponding outer surfaces of the next-adjacent filter plates. The filter plate can be made by vulcanizing together two halves along a medial plane of symmetry.
