  • Publication number: 20240147867
Abstract: Magnetoelectric magnetic tunnel junction (MEMTJ) logic devices comprise a magnetoelectric switching capacitor coupled to a pair of magnetic tunnel junctions (MTJs) by a conductive layer. The logic state of the MEMTJ is represented by the magnetization orientation of the ferromagnetic layer of the magnetoelectric capacitor, which can be switched through the application of an appropriate input voltage to the MEMTJ. The magnetization orientation of the magnetoelectric capacitor ferromagnetic layer is read out by the MTJs. The conductive layer is positioned between the capacitor and the MTJs. The MTJ ferromagnetic free layers are exchange coupled to the ferromagnetic layer of the magnetoelectric capacitor. The potential of an MTJ free layer is based on a supply voltage applied to the reference layer of the MTJ. The MTJ reference layers have a magnetization orientation that is parallel or antiparallel to the magnetization orientations of the ferromagnetic layer of the magnetoelectric capacitor.

  • Publication number: 20230210529
Abstract: Disclosed is an endoscopic stapler that can be operated through the small working channel of a laryngoscope, other rigid endoscope, or a natural orifice to safely and effectively connect tissues permanently or semi-permanently. The endoscopic stapler apparatus includes a handle including a trigger, an outer shaft coupled to the handle, and an inner shaft with prongs positioned at a distal end of the inner shaft. The endoscopic stapler further includes a hook, wherein the hook and prongs are positioned to capture a staple at a tip of the prongs, wherein a proximal end of the inner shaft is coupled to the trigger, and wherein activation of the trigger causes the prongs to translate away from the handle causing the prongs to bend and close the staple.

  • Patent number: 8246070
Abstract: A snow glider comprises a longitudinally-extending runner for supporting a rider on ridden snow and having a generally central, longitudinally-extending slot. The glider further comprises an elevated rider-supporting deck and chatter-absorbing means straddling the slot for supporting the deck above the runner. Preferably, the bottom surface of the runner is preferably generally convex across its width, with curved outer edges that provide directional control to the rider when turning, and at least one longitudinally-extending, generally straight longitudinally-extending inner edge adjacent the periphery of the slot for greater directional control when the rider is going straight. To enhance controllability, the deck of the preferred embodiment is preferably coupled to the runner near the runner's outer periphery so that the force exerted by the rider is transmitted from his/her feet directly to the outer edges of the runner.

  • Publication number: 20100282504
Abstract: A microwave conducting structure is described, in which a first electrically conductive layer, a first dielectric substrate with a first dielectric constant being arranged on the first electrically conductive layer, and at least one electrically conductive trace with a first width being arranged on or within the dielectric substrate are provided. A track of a second dielectric substrate having a second width being wider than the first width and a second dielectric constant being lower than the first dielectric constant, is arranged locally between the first dielectric substrate and the conductive trace so as to extend along the conductive trace such that the conductive trace operates electrically as being arranged on the second dielectric substrate.
