Abstract: A device may determine that a verification method associated with a transaction card is to be modified from a first verification method to a second verification method. The first verification method and the second verification method may use different types of verification information. The device may provide a set of instructions to the transaction card after determining that the verification method is to be modified. The set of instructions may cause the transaction card to modify the verification method from the first verification method to the second verification method. The device may provide information identifying a modification to the verification method to a transaction backend device to notify the transaction backend device that the verification method associated with the transaction card has been modified from the first verification method to the second verification method.

Abstract: A transaction card includes a near-field communication (NFC) component, a security component, a wireless component, one or more memories, and one or more processors communicatively coupled to the one or more memories. The device receives a signal from a user device attempting to access a secure application, and energizes the NFC component based on the signal received from the user device. The device causes the security component to generate an encrypted code based on the NFC component being energized, and provides, via the security component, the encrypted code to the wireless component. The device provides, via the wireless component, the encrypted code to the user device to permit the user device to utilize the encrypted code as authentication for accessing the secure application.

Abstract: In some implementations, a near field communication (NFC) device may determine whether the NFC device is to perform a wireless transaction in a powered mode or an unpowered mode, and may selectively perform the wireless transaction in the powered mode or the unpowered mode based on determining whether the NFC device is to perform the wireless transaction in the powered mode or the unpowered mode. The wireless transaction may be performed using power from a power source internal to the NFC device when the wireless transaction is performed in the powered mode. The wireless transaction may be performed without using power from the power source internal to the NFC device when the wireless transaction is performed in the unpowered mode.

The system allows a plurality of materials, some reacted or mixed by the device, to be extruded through a deposition head, which may adaptively (and automatically) change shape and lumen size to accommodate different path widths and shapes. The cartridge system may employ pellets which may be comprised of a plurality of materials and/or colors.

Abstract: A system and method is described for Automated Visual Pipetting on a machine such as a three dimensional fabrication device like a 3D Printer or other computer numerical control (CNC) machine tools, for improved speed, accuracy and reliability in pipetting procedures. A camera is mounted on a pipette or another type of tool that may be a deposition or non-deposition tool (e.g., milling). A camera feed and recognition software can enable users to replace existing micro-pipetting techniques with a computerized process that may be controlled with a few simple mouse clicks, while the user can directly visualize a live experimental setup. The embodiment also allows for integration with common molecular biology procedure “kits,” and enables the process to be automated and visualized without requiring constant interaction by the user.
