  • Patent number: 11928538
Abstract: Aspects of the present disclosure relate to methods and systems for laser turning and attaching RFID tags to products. Such methods and systems may include a memory and a processor coupled to the memory. The methods and systems may include determining a characteristic of a conductive trace on a substrate to be incorporated into an item to configure a tag performance in view of at least one of a dielectric property or a tuning property of the item. The methods and systems may further include a laser to alter the conductive trace on the substrate to have the characteristic to define an antenna for the tag. The methods and systems may further include an attaching device configured to attach a communications enabled device to the substrate so as to form an electrical connection between the communications enabled device and the antenna to form the tag.

  • Publication number: 20240078916
Abstract: Aerial vehicles are assigned to routes within a transportation network based on a state of charge, state of power, and/or state of health for the aerial vehicle. Such aspects can be modeled based on one or more statistical models and/or machine-learned models, among other examples. As another example, an energy budget is used to ensure that the state of charge, state of power, and/or state of health of the aerial vehicle during and/or after traveling the route remains within the energy budget. A payload is assigned to a route and an associated aerial vehicle, thereby generating an itinerary. In examples, the itinerary is validated by the aerial vehicle to ensure that the aerial vehicle is capable of traveling the route with the payload. In examples where the aerial vehicle rejects the itinerary, the itinerary is assigned to another aerial vehicle and a new itinerary is identified for the aerial vehicle.

  • Publication number: 20230341877
Abstract: A valve assembly for a process fluid is disclosed that includes an integrated controller configured to control an on-off valve actuator based on signals from a sensor that indicates a measured parameter of the process fluid. The integrated controller is further configured to: (i) in response to receiving a first signal corresponding to an open-position valve command signal, control the on-off valve actuator to move the valve element from a starting position to a first partially-open position, (ii) evaluate a first criteria condition for further actuation of the valve element, (iii) in response to the first criteria condition being satisfied, control the on-off valve actuator to move the valve element to a second partially-open position, and (iv) in response to receiving a second signal corresponding to a closed-position valve command signal, control the on-off valve actuator to move the valve element to the closed position.

  • Patent number: 8184175
Abstract: A system and method for detecting a camera. In one embodiment, although not limited thereto, an illuminator illuminates an area of interest. A camera then takes multiple pictures of the illuminated area and an algorithm is then used to compare the pictures and locate and pirate cameras based on the reflection characteristics.
