  • Publication number: 20220186800
Abstract: A method of forming a friction surface of a friction member with an increased friction coefficient on the friction surface is described. The method includes forming the friction member including a matrix composite of a first material and reinforcing particles of a second material embedded in the first material, wherein the first material has a lower melting temperature than the second material, and forming the friction surface by melting a surface layer of the first material of the friction member to expose a part of the reinforcing particles and thereby to enable an increase of the friction coefficient of the friction surface of the friction member.

  • Patent number: 10858893
Abstract: A mobile well service unit has a structural frame with a front end and a rear end, and defining an axis between the front end and the rear end; a platform mounted at the front end or the rear end of the structural frame and configured to move up and down relative to the structural frame; and ground engaging members mounted to the structural frame and configured to permit the mobile well service unit to move laterally, relative to the axis, across a ground surface. A method of use involves translating the unit laterally.

  • Patent number: 10267122
Abstract: A mobile well service unit has: a structural frame such as a chassis with ground engaging members; and a telescoping platform assembly mounted at a rear end of the structural frame, the telescoping platform assembly having a lower platform mounted to slide up and down relative to the structural frame, and an upper platform mounted to the lower platform to slide up and down relative to the lower platform. A mobile well service unit has: a structural frame with ground engaging members; a platform mounted at a rear end of the structural frame to slide up and down relative to the structural frame; and a set of telescoping and self-levelling stairs with an upper end pivotally anchored to the platform, and a lower end pivotally anchored to the structural frame.

  • Publication number: 20180055183
Abstract: A handheld appliance includes a user operable button, a switch and an actuator including an arm extending between the button and the switch wherein the button has three linearly spaced positions each position corresponding to a different state for the switch. The arm may include a surface adapted to engage with the switch. The switch may include a lever and the lever is moved by contact with the surface. The lever may have a first position and a second position. The second position of the lever may be a neutral position where the lever is not in contact with the surface. When the lever is in the first position, the surface may engage with the lever. The lever may be housed within a recess of the arm. The switch may comprise a first switch and a second switch which may be longitudinally spaced.
