  • Patent number: 5193748
Abstract: A spray head (10) for a spraying device operated by pressing down an actuating cap (70) against the initial tension of a spring (30) allowing to atomize and focus-spray a sprayable and preferably liquid product by compressed air. The spray head is provided with a spray nozzle (58) wherein the compressed air and the product, up to here transported in two different canals, through an ascending tube (50) immersed into a product container, are mixed, atomized and focus-sprayed. Spray head (10) shows two separate valves with initial tension in closing position (22; 24) of which the first valve (22) is positioned in a passage canal of the air pressure canal forwarding the compressed air to the spray nozzle (58) and the container interior, and the second valve (24) is positioned inside the product canal by which the product is transported through the ascending tube (50) from the container to the spray nozzle (58).

  • Patent number: 4597683
Abstract: Apparatus for applying cosmetic preparations in liquid or paste form comprising a cylindrical casing provided with a slidable piston which divides the casing into first and second chambers which are sealed relative to one another. The first chamber contains a mixing member which by an operating stem guided sealingly to the outside through the piston and the second chamber, can be reciprocated inside the first chamber. This first chamber may be filled with a cosmetic preparation to be emptied by controllable amounts by an applicator detachably fastened to the casing. A tubular casing extension is inserted into the free end of the second chamber and contains a compression spring for pre-stressing the piston. The casing extension is telescopically movable into and out of the second chamber. At the free end of the casing extension a locking mechanism is provided by which the casing extension, when fully inserted into the casing, can be detachably locked to the casing.

  • Patent number: 4309119
Abstract: Applicator device for cosmetic preparations, having a closed, substantially cylindrical casing in which a piston dividing the casing into two variable-size chambers sealed from one another is displaceably disposed, the one variable-size chamber being fillable with the cosmetic preparation and being combined with a removable applicator provided with a passage for the preparation, by means of which the cosmetic preparation can be applied to the body part being treated, in quantities controllable by means of a self-closing valve. The variable-size chamber opposite the preparation reservoir is provided with a connection for bringing in a compressed gas which seeks to displace the piston to reduce the preparation reservoir, and in the passage connecting the preparation reservoir chamber to the applicator there is disposed the self-closing valve preventing escape of the preparation when the applicator is removed.

  • Patent number: 4121735
Abstract: A container filled only partially with a pre-measured, exactly apportioned quantity of liquid active ingredient for one-time use closed in a pressure-tight manner by a closure made at least in part of a resilient material having self-resealing characteristics after piercing with a needle, and a reservoir filled with an aerosol propellant of a type incompatible with said active ingredient after a relatively short time when intermixed. The reservoir has a discharge valve with a hollow needle pushed through the resilient material of the closure and held by the material in a fluid-tight manner, whereby the container can be filled with the propellant only shortly before use of the active ingredient.

  • Patent number: 4103900
Abstract: An originality seal for disposable or single use receptacles adapted to be fitted to an applicator having a peripheral sealing surface for connection to the disposable receptacles consisting of a receptacle-side sealing surface for engaging the wall of the disposable receptacle. The seal includes a resilient sealing ring surrounding the sealing surface, the ring having at least two sealing lips, one of the lips cooperating sealingly with the peripheral sealing surface of the applicator when the disposable receptacle is fitted thereto and the second sealing lip cooperating sealingly with the receptacle side sealing surface. There is also frangible webs coupling the resilient sealing rings to the receptacle-side sealing surface so that the frangible webs will rupture by the force of engagement of the disposable receptacle to the applicator.

  • Patent number: 4040975
Abstract: A foam generator for foaming liquids having two peripheral disc portions each being connected with a housing with a gas inlet to one of the housings. The housings being connected together with the peripheral disc portions forming a hollow space such that gas fed to the hollow space through the gas inlet enters the hollow space and exits between the peripheral disc portions to form air streams to foam the liquids.
