    Abstract: Systems and methods for automated generation and presentation of thematic content objects to consumers in a retail environment are provided. A portable device may include a transmitter or transceiver that emits, produces or otherwise transmits a signal that includes information and/or data representative of an identifier that uniquely identifies the portable device. Upon entering an establishment thematic content delivery circuitry detects the presence of the portable device and obtains the identifier included in the signal emitted by the portable device. Using the identifier, the thematic content delivery circuitry determines a theme logically associated with the identifier. The thematic content delivery circuitry generates thematic content output that is logically associated with the theme and communicates the thematic content output to an output device. The thematic content output may include display output, audio output, tactile output, hardcopy output, or combinations thereof.

    Abstract: A method for localizing a device. The method is performed by a communication device. The method includes measuring a phase of a signal that the communication device has received from the device, the signal having a first frequency; measuring a phase of at least one further signal that the communication device has received from the device; the at least one further signal having a second frequency, determining a phase pattern of a measured phase versus frequency, pattern matching the phase pattern with each reference phase pattern of a plurality of pre-determined reference phase patterns. Each reference phase pattern is associated with a distance between the communication device and the further communication device. The method further includes determining the distance between the further communication device and the communication device based on the pattern matching.

When a shopper moves within a predetermined distance from an electronic sign, the shopper tracking system signals the real time bidding system to conduct a contemporaneous auction and supply a message provided by a winning bidder, which is displayed on the electronic sign.

An embodiment of a method comprises receiving packets of data in a first queue, each of the packets having one of a plurality of priorities, the plurality of priorities including a first priority and a second priority; copying a first plurality of packets from the first queue to a second queue; scheduling a first subset of packets from the second queue; and determining whether the second queue includes a packet with the first priority. If the second queue includes a packet with a first priority, scheduling a second subset of packets from the second queue; and if the second queue does not include a packet with the first priority, copying a second plurality of packets from the first queue to the second queue.
