Abstract: Example implementations relate to multi-tenant upgrading. Some implementations may receive a request to upgrade a first tenant from an original version of an application to a new version of the application. The new version of the application may be backwards compatible with the original version. Some implementations may also upgrade the first tenant to the new version in response to the request while data according to the original version is simultaneously being provided to a second tenant. Additionally, some implementations may also provide data according to the new version for tenants that have completed the upgrade and provide data according to the original version of the application for tenants that have not upgraded.

Abstract: Examples relate to providing data backup for a multi-tenant application. One example enables determination that a first data set for a first tenant from the application should be backed up and determination, independently from determining the first data set should be backed up, that a second data set for a second tenant from the application should be backed up. Responsive to determining the first data set should be backed up, a first portion of the first data set stored at a first data resource of a first type may be accessed via a first adaptor for the first type of data resource, and a second portion of the first data set stored at a second data resource of a second type may be accessed via a second adaptor for the second type of data resource. The accessed portions of the first data set may be stored.

The instructions include instructions to receive a plurality of job requests from a scheduler service computing system that is separate from the apparatus, wherein the plurality of job requests is from a multiple tenants, generate a schedule and a message in accordance with a definition associated with each one of the plurality of job requests and send the message to a messaging queue that is to distribute the message to a job executor computing system that is separate from the apparatus to execute at least one of the plurality of job requests in accordance with a schedule.
