  • Publication number: 20120183378
Abstract: A silo has a silo chamber enclosed by an outer wall. A filling pipe for feeding bulk goods is provided, wherein the filling pipe has a plurality of valve openings arranged at varying heights. The filling pipe is arranged in a feed chamber, which is separated from the silo chamber by a partition wall. The partition wall is provided with a plurality of outlet openings arranged at varying heights. Large silos can be filled without the segregation of the bulk goods.

  • Patent number: 5586660
Abstract: The screening of a stream of bulk material is accelerated so that this takes place in the state of the fluidized bed. The screening apparatus can be made correspondingly smaller. So that the fluidized-bed state persists over the screen surface, the latter is made short and, if necessary, a plurality of screen surfaces with interposed aerating stages are connected in succession.

  • Patent number: 5575406
Abstract: A bulk-material silo has a silo draw-off opening which is located centrally in the ventilated silo base and is connected directly to an expansion chamber. The expansion chamber comprises two parts, the first of which leads outwardly in the manner of a duct from the silo draw-off opening towards and merging with the second part of the expansion chamber which is arranged outside the actual silo. Only said second part is configured with a sufficient height to permit the bulk material to fully expand during fluidization and with dust-extraction and draw-off devices. The air-extraction line from the upper silo space is fed, outside the silo, directly to the dust-extraction device.

  • Patent number: 5415512
Abstract: A device for loading bulk material from a stationary source to a filler pipe located at a chosen spot within a predetermined line of travel. The device comprises a loading hopper which is shiftable along the line of travel and exhibits, at its lower end, a filling mechanism and a conveying pipe, feeding the bulk material to the loading hopper, which conveying pipe is pivotably mounted at its end receiving the material and the outlet end of which opens out into the loading hopper. The loading hopper is closed off at the top by a cover, which exhibits an opening receiving the outlet end of the conveying pipe. The cover is rotatable in relation to the loading hopper, the opening being eccentrically disposed. Expediently, the rim of the loading hopper and the cover are circular.

  • Patent number: 5224312
Abstract: The bulk material silo has a venting bottom containing a fiber layer (4). To compensate the difference in flow-off resistance, which differs with the distance of material from the discharge (6), it is provided that the fiber layer differs in flow resistance (10) along the path of the material toward the outlet (6), specifically having a lower flow resistance in regions further away from the outlet.

  • Patent number: 4506985
Abstract: A mixing chamber silo is described for loose material with a mixing chamber on the silo floor and with a passage between the central mixing compartment and the outer wall of the silo through which the mixed loose material is removed. The passage has a dividing wall between the central mixing compartment and a conduit under the chamber ceiling. Only mixed loose material passes through this opening to conduit and then to the removal outlet. There is no direct connection from the silo area to the removal outlet.
