Abstract: A swash plate pump includes a housing and cylinders arranged in a circular pattern around the drive shaft. Piston rods are pivotally connected at one end to the swash plate and mechanism surrounding the drive shaft and axially slidable along it controls the angle of the swash plate. The opposite end of each piston rods is fixed to a piston. In one embodiment, each piston rod is locally reduced in cross-sectional area adjacent its piston to compensate for disparity in arcuate motions of the opposite ends of the piston rod and in another embodiment, the cylinders are mounted in ball joints in the housing to compensate the disparity. One end of the housing may be formed as a manifold and double seals are provided between the compression side and the drive side of the pump.

Abstract: A method and an apparatus for the spraying onto a field of a liquid such as a herbicide solution by means of a spraying apparatus, propellable over the field, with a series of spraying members (3) fed by a common liquid pressure pump (6) wherein a carrier fluid is supplied to the spraying members (3) by means of the pump and the active substance in the stream of carrier fluid is added by means of a second regulatable pump (12), wherein the volume of carrier fluid provided to the spraying means (3) is controlled dependantly on the quantity of active substance by a regulating system (5) controlling one of the two fluid flows, in order to keep the concentration of active substance in the carrier fluid constant irrespective of the travel velocity, ensuring that although the quantity of the active substance is regulated dependantly on the travel velocity, the concentration is independant thereof, resulting in a homogeneous spreading of the active substance over the full width of the strip of land to be sprayed.

Abstract: A device for baling crop comprising a baling chamber having an inlet port and a ram adapted to reciprocate along said port and an auxiliary space joining the inlet port outside the baling chamber for temporalily storing crop to be compressed, said device is provided with a blocking member for predensifying the crop as well as compressing means for compressing the crop in a transverse direction in said auxiliary space, the blocking member is driven by means of a cam/cam wheel mechanism actuated by said ram, while said device furthermore comprises retaining members in said baling chamber to prevent rebounding of crop material already compressed and/or to retain crop in said baling chamber if said chamber is opened during the discharge of a bale.

Abstract: A device for baling cut crop, comprising a baling chamber having an inlet port and an outlet port and a compression member adapted to move in the baling chamber, the compressing stroke of the compression member extends along the inlet port to near the outlet port and is equal to or slightly larger than the distance between the inlet and outlet ports; a construction of the device according to the invention is suitable for making bundles having a materially higher "specific weight" than the generally known "straw bales".

Abstract: A mobile baler includes a horizontal baling chamber having a lateral collection chamber discharging thereinto. A ram moves back and forth across the discharge mount of the collection chamber and a closure member, controlling transfer of material from the collection chamber to the baling chamber, moves in concert with the ram. The baling chamber is normally closed at one end by a movable end wall and the drive means for the ram connects this end wall with the ram so that the end wall is held in closed position as the ram compresses material between it and the end wall.

Abstract: A compressive chamber of a baling device is open at both ends. Associated with one end is a movable closure member and a ram projects into the chamber from the opposite end. Drive mechanism directly connects the ram and the closure member so that in one direction of drive the closure member is forced into and held in closed position while the ram travels toward it and, in the opposite direction of drive, the ram and closure member are forced apart to unseat the closure member and move it to open position.
