  • Patent number: 11239777
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a method of tuning an electric charge extraction circuit of a vibrational energy harvester having a mechanical resonator, the method comprising varying, during a first phase, first and second parameters (?1,?2) of the electric charge extraction circuit based on detected harvested power (PHARVEST), each of the first and second parameters (?1,?2) influencing the amount of damping of the mechanical resonator and at least the first parameter (?1) influencing the resonance frequency of the mechanical resonator, wherein the first and second parameters (?1,?2) are varied during the first phase such that the amount of damping remains constant or varies by less than a first significant amount and the resonance frequency reaches a final level.

  • Publication number: 20210399657
Abstract: A device for recovering or dampening vibratory energy from a mechanical resonator, comprising: an electrical generator comprising an element for converting mechanical vibration energy into electrical charges coupled to the resonator, the electrical generator periodically transferring a portion of the electrical charges from one terminal of the conversion element to the other; a frequency variation to phase variation conversion device, comprising an injection-locked oscillator of which the free-running oscillation frequency is equal to the resonance frequency of the resonator, and supplying to the electrical generator a control signal of frequency equal to that of the signal outputted by the conversion element and of which the phase shift depends on the difference between the frequency of the signal outputted by the conversion element and the resonance frequency of the resonator.
