  • Publication number: 20230345228
Abstract: A memory device includes at least one memory cell array block and a control logic. The memory cell array block includes multiple layers of memory cells and word line layers provided corresponding to individual layers of memory cells. The memory cell array block is divided into at least two memory cell array subblocks, each subblock comprising a number of layers of memory cells and word line layers provided corresponding to individual layers of memory cells. The control logic is coupled to the memory cell array block, and configured to: erase, read or program the memory cell array block using a block mode or a subblock mode, and when the memory cell array block is erased, read, or programmed under the subblock mode, determine, at least based on a state of one of the two memory cell array subblocks, an operation strategy of the other memory cell array subblock.

  • Patent number: 11696116
Abstract: A method includes receiving a request to provision an embedded subscriber identity module (eSIM) profile to an eSIM-enabled device. The request includes a proxy eSIM identifier (EID) prefix. The eSIM profile is associated with a service provider of a mobile communication service a user of the device subscribes to. The method also includes determining whether the proxy EID prefix includes an address of a target discovery server the device is configured to connect to, and when the proxy EID prefix includes the address the method includes extracting the address of the target discovery server from the proxy EID prefix. Using the extracted address of the target discovery server, the method also includes registering a discovery event with the target discovery server indicating that the service provider has reserved the eSIM profile to the proxy EID or an actual EID assigned to the device.

  • Patent number: 10708761
Abstract: A method for enabling multiple subscriber identification module (SIM) profiles on a single embedded SIM includes installing a first SIM profile associated with a first mobile communication service that a user subscribes to and installing a second SIM profile associated with a second mobile communication service that the user subscribes to that is different than the first mobile communication service. The method also includes simultaneously enabling the first SIM profile to communicate with data processing hardware via a dedicated first communication interface and the second SIM profile to communicate with the data processing hardware via a dedicated second communication interface. The method also includes when using the enabled first SIM profile and the enabled second SIM profile, connecting to the first mobile communication service and the second mobile communication service simultaneously.

  • Patent number: 10700854
Abstract: Method, system and apparatus for provisioning a subscription of a service to a device comprising: receiving a message from a device, the message protected by first provisioning data installed on the device. Authenticating the message using data corresponding to the first provisioning data. On successful authentication, providing data enabling the device to recover protected second provisioning data from a subscription manager. Providing the device with the protected second provisioning data.

  • Publication number: 20170105119
Abstract: A Proximity Request is handled within a cellular network, by communicating a Map Request from the Proximity Service Function to an Application Server, in response to a first Proximity Request on behalf of a first User Equipment. A Map Response is then communicated from the Application Server to the Proximity Service Function, in response to the Map Request. One or both of: the Map Request; and the Map Response comprises a cryptographic signature to allow authentication of the first Proximity Request.

  • Publication number: 20140335825
Abstract: A method for controlling use of an application APPI on a mobile device, the method including determining whether a user security code is active and only allowing execution of the application if the user security code is active. The user security code may be a SIM PIN or a mobile device PIN. The user security code is non-application specific and may be required for some other purpose not related to the application, such as to allow the mobile device to authenticate with the cellular telecommunications network. In this way, the user security code entered for a different purpose may be conveniently used to automatically allow execution of an application.
