Patent number: 11754987Abstract: A building management system (BMS) includes a storage device having instructions stored thereon that, when executed by one or more processors, cause the one or more processors to perform operations. The operations include receiving an indication of an event relating to building equipment operable to serve spaces of a building, the indication identifying at least one of a space or a type of equipment associated with the event, determining, based on the indication, that the one or more criteria are satisfied for a first filter of a plurality of filters, each filter of the plurality of filters associated with a subset of users and specifying one or more criteria for satisfying the filter, the one or more criteria comprising at least one of a space criterion or an equipment criterion, and providing a notification of the event to the subset of users associated with the first filter in response to a determination that the one or more criteria are satisfied for the first filter.Type: GrantFiled: November 1, 2021Date of Patent: September 12, 2023Assignee: Johnson Controls Tyco IP Holdings LLPInventors: Adam R. Grabowski, Jonathan M. Schwabe, Charles C. Xing, Ahmad Khalid, Anagha Nyayadhish, Garrett Wiens-Kind, Dana A. Guthrie, Ryan A. Piaskowski, James C. Newell

Patent number: 8169358Abstract: A multi-band RF transceiver for transmitting communications data and radar signals includes a transmitter having a source of communications data and radar signals. A modulator combines the data and radar signals and then modulates the combined signal with a carrier signal generated by a synthesizer. A processor instructs the synthesizer to change the carrier frequency and the source to provide data and radar signals corresponding to the carrier frequency so that multiple bands are transmitted over a desired spectrum. A receiver includes a demodulator that demodulates the received signal and a synthesizer that generates a signal that tunes the demodulator to the desired carrier frequency. A processor instructs the synthesizer to change the carrier frequency so that the demodulator demodulates the multiple bands of data and the radar signals over the desired spectrum.Type: GrantFiled: June 25, 2007Date of Patent: May 1, 2012Assignee: BBN TechnologiesInventors: John Michael Bourdelais, Ahmad Khalid Aman

Patent number: 7870462Abstract: Error bursts are randomized by an interleaver which makes use of “set leaders” to generate permutation indices. The permutation indices are used to route bits from initial positions in an input bit stream to re-arranged or randomized positions in an output bit stream. When the output bit stream is then transmitted and subsequently received by a de-interleaver which returns the received bits to their initial, pre-randomized positions, the resulting received signal has an acceptable bit error rate.Type: GrantFiled: May 7, 2007Date of Patent: January 11, 2011Assignee: Alcatel-Lucent USA Inc.Inventors: Ahmad Khalid Aman, Masoud Sajadieh, Mohsen Sarraf, Masood Yousefi
