  • Publication number: 20200062256
Abstract: The invention relates to a method (100) and to a device (450) for reserve driving of a vehicle (400), wherein the vehicle (400) comprises a drive unit (410), an auxiliary unit (420) having a drive (430) associated with the auxiliary unit (420), and at least one wheel (440). The wheel (440) is designed to roll on the ground at least during reserve driving of the vehicle (400) or during the travel of the vehicle (400). The device (450) is designed to detect a failure of the drive unit (410); to couple the drive (430) of the auxiliary unit (420) to the wheel (440); and to operate the drive (430) of the auxiliary unit (420) for the reserve driving of the vehicle (400).

  • Patent number: 10336203
Abstract: The invention relates to a charging/discharging station (2) for charging or discharging an at least partly battery-operated vehicle (14) via an inductively coupled pair of coils. The charging/discharging station (2) comprises in particular a computer device (12), in which spatial coordinates of parking areas (4) are stored and which has means to navigate a vehicle (14) to the parking area (4) by means of communication units (8, 16) by using image data of the vehicle (14) recorded by means of a camera device (10) and by using physical coordinates of the parking areas (4). The invention further relates to a method for operating such a loading/discharging station (2).

  • Patent number: 10017062
Abstract: The invention relates to an electric charging device, to a charging system, to a method for charging a battery of a vehicle, and to an electric connection device of a vehicle for charging a battery of the vehicle. The electric charging device comprises the following: a lifting device (11) to which a charging head (12) is coupled, wherein the charging head (12) has a first plurality of first electric contacts (14) on a first surface (13) of the charging head (12), at least some of said contacts being connectable to an energy source in order to charge the battery; and an actuator (16) by means of which the lifting device (11) can be actuated such that the charging head (12) can be at least partly moved in a first direction (R1) that is substantially perpendicular to the first surface (13).

  • Publication number: 20180001777
Abstract: The invention relates to a device and a method for automatically charging an electrical energy storage means in a vehicle. For this purpose, firstly, the position of a charging socket on a vehicle is determined, based on vehicle-specific data. Subsequently, a charging robot travels on the ground near to the charging socket. Then, the charging robot establishes a galvanic connection between the charging station and charging socket. For this purpose, the charging robot introduces a contact head connected to the charging station into the charging socket of the vehicle. After termination of the charging process, the contact head is removed from the charging socket, thereby releasing the vehicle.

  • Publication number: 20170349055
Abstract: The present invention provides an apparatus and a method for electrically connecting a charging station to the charging socket of a vehicle. To this end, a contact head which is connected to a voltage source is positioned in front of a charging socket of a vehicle and then inserted into the charging socket. In order to ensure the contact head is securely and reliably oriented during insertion into the charging socket, the contact head has adjustment means in this case, said adjustment means automatically orienting the contact head during insertion into the charging socket. In this way, the requirements for positioning the contact head before insertion can be reduced and the security of the vehicle which is to be charged making contact with the charging station can be increased.
