  • Patent number: 11438484
Abstract: A disclosed scaler resource includes a color management module configured to support two or more color space transformations and two or more color temperature adjustment profiles and to receive first pixel data and perform color processing of the first pixel data to produce second pixel data. The color processing includes a color space transformation in accordance with any of the supported color space transformation matrices and a color temperature adjustment in accordance with any of the supported color temperature adjustment profiles. The color processing is configured wherein a ratio of primary colors produced by performing the color processing on first pixel data corresponding to any primary color is independent of the selected color temperature adjustment profile. The color space transformation may be performed before or after the color temperature adjustment. When performed before, the color transformation matrix is modified to reflect the color temperature adjust profile.

  • Patent number: 10276081
Abstract: Improved display devices, information handling systems and related methods are provided for color and luminance characterization and compensation. According to one embodiment, a characterization method is provided for correlating the color/luminance measured from light emitted by a light source disposed within the display device to the color/luminance measured from light output from the display device at the time of manufacture. After the display device is characterized and a set of characterization values are stored, a compensation method is used during operation of the display device to perform color/luminance compensation for the light output from the display device by measuring the color/luminance of the light source illumination, and adjusting color gain values to maintain the color/luminance of the output light at a reference set point.

  • Patent number: 10176784
Abstract: A multi-mode display device may, responsive to a user-selection, divide a display region into different regions corresponding to display data received from different user devices, such as a primary information handling system and a secondary portable information handling system. First display data received from the primary information handling system may be output to a first display region and second display data received from the secondary portable information handling system maybe output to a second display region.

  • Patent number: 5714842
Abstract: The present invention, generally speaking, provides for automatic cutoff control in a DC coupled CRT video drive using a low DC supply voltage and circuitry that is lower in power consumption than conventional circuitry for the comparable video performance. A simple, easy to implement solution is achieved with an extremely low component count. Cutoff control response is fast, allowing discontinuous operation of auto cutoff control. In one embodiment of the invention, a cutoff control signal is applied to individual CRT G1 terminals. Fast response cutoff control drive is realized using an IC current source and a single transistor current-to-voltage (CTV) converter. Supply voltage variations on the video driver are clamped via a clamping device to the negative supply voltage of the G1 CTV converter.

  • Patent number: 5650696
Abstract: Protection of EHT and/or scan output stages in multiscan displays is provided without the use of additional components within the power supply other than those required to perform the power supply function itself. Operation is non-dissipative, conserving power. A drive control signal is AC coupled. The switch is on during retrace of the flyback pulse. The drive control signal is varied in accordance with the load, becoming active longer and longer periods of time with increasing load until the control signal vanishes (becomes continuously asserted), turning off the switch. In accordance with a further feature of the invention, feedback to a controlling integrated circuit concerning an overload condition may be achieved without dedicating a line or pin to a separate feedback signal.
