  • Patent number: 5634405
Abstract: The present invention is directed to a method for removing ink from a substrate containing at least one synthetic polymeric resin which comprises contacting the substrate with an aqueous solution of a glycol ether for a time sufficient, and under conditions effective, to remove the ink, wherein the glycol ether may be represented by Formula (I)R.sub.1 --O--R.sub.2 --OH (I)wherein R.sub.1 and R.sub.2 are independently selected from the group consisting of alkyl groups having from 1 to about 8 carbon atoms. This invention also pertains to improved methods for preparing de-inked recycled substrates employing the aqueous solution of glycol ether.

  • Patent number: 5630511
Abstract: A dispensing box for the continuous feed of fan-folded paper to a printer or other device. The box has opposite side walls, a bottom and an open top, and a lid covering the open top. A narrow slot is formed through the lid, extending from one side to the other adjacent one end of the box, and a free end of the fan-folded paper is fed through the slot from inside the box to a printer or other device. A roller is positioned inside the box adjacent the slot for guiding movement of the paper and smoothing its movement as it is pulled from the box by the printer or other device.

  • Patent number: 5207328
Abstract: A bag and a bag pack consisting of a plurality of bags. Each bag has upstanding handles with apertures for mounting onto a bag loading rack. The cut formation of the apertures holds the handles of the bags together in the bag pack. The bag also has a center tab section for mounting on the bag loading rack. This tab section is permanently connected to the bag for removal with the bag when the latter is removed from the bag loading rack.

  • Patent number: 5011298
Abstract: The invention is of a halter top, thermoplastic resin film bag which is an improvement over the T-shirt type of bag, in that the base area where the gussets are sealed is strengthened by the trapezoidal configuration given to the bag of the invention.

  • Patent number: 5007233
Abstract: A multiwall bag and method of packaging using a multiwall bag are described. The multiwall bag includes an outer paper bag having an uncoated inner surface. One or more thermoplastic bags containing one or more bulk materials are ultrasonically sealed closed, simultaneously green tacking a small portion of the outer surface of such thermoplastic bags to the inner surface of the paper bag. The open end of the paper bag is then closed and folded back on itself with a small amount of adhesive being applied to keep the paper bag closed. As a result, the paper bag is easily opened and the thermoplastic bags can be quickly removed therefrom for wholesale use in compatible processes.

  • Patent number: 4994324
Abstract: This invention is directed to polyethylene bags or film. More particularly, this invention is directed to a sealable transparent film structure for hot-fill having one or more layers, at least one layer comprising a blend of(a) from about 20 to 50 parts by weight of a terpolymer of ethylene, propylene, and butene or hexene, or from about 20 to 50 parts by weight of a propylene modified rubber and 3% maleic anhydride,(b) from about 20 to 75 parts by weight of polypropylene, and(c) from about 20 to 75 parts by weight of Hmw-HDPE resin.

  • Patent number: 4952441
Abstract: A thermal insulation batt is provided which is comprised of a layer of bulk thermal insulation material; a vapor impervious thermoplastic facing sheet adhesively bonded to the layer of insulation material; paper tabs containing a fold line securely attached along each of longitudinal sides of the facing sheet or by having dual foldable paper strips enclosed within a folded back portion of the facing sheet so as to provide a deadfold characteristic for the tabs. The insulation batts are conveniently packaged with the dual tabs folded downwardly adjacent the facing sheet, and at installation the dual tabs are folded outwardly without snapback and are attached onto spaced apart structure members such as studs of a wall.
