A customer device, e.g., a smart phone, can generate an order for purchasing one or more goods or services from a merchant. A list of the items can be stored in a data structure designated as a tab. The list is routed to a merchant device, e.g., a tablet computer. The customer device can be carried by a user to the merchant. When the user reaches the merchant, the customer device or merchant device can receive a request to add an additional item to the list. The tab remains open and modifiable until the customer device or merchant device receives an input to close it. Payment for the goods or services listed in the modified tab is processed upon closing of the tab.

Abstract: Techniques for integrated online and offline sales management are described. A merchant application executing on a merchant device can present options for selling an item of a merchant. The options can include (i) a first option wherein an amount for the item is payable using a payment object at a payment object reader coupled to the merchant device and (ii) a second option wherein the amount for the item is payable using a customer application. An input associated with the second option can be received via the merchant application and, responsive to the input, a payment transaction link can be generated. The payment transaction link can be presented for sharing by the merchant with at least one customer, wherein the payment transaction link enables the at least one customer to pay the amount for the item using the customer application.

Abstract: Some examples include a processor that accesses past order information for a plurality of past orders received in the past for a plurality of merchants and delivered by delivery agents. Further, for an upcoming time period, based on the past orders received by individual merchants over a past period of time, the processor may determine a predicted number of orders to be received for an upcoming time period for the individual merchants. The processor may execute delivery agent management logic to compare, for the upcoming time period, a number of active delivery agents with the predicted number of orders, and may send a message to a first delivery agent device associated with a first delivery agent to cause one of: activation of the first delivery agent from inactive status to active status, or deactivation of the first delivery agent from active status to inactive status.

An online store can be converted to offline store, and vice versa. An inventory management system can receive an input from a merchant device of merchant designating an item carried by the merchant as an item to be sold at the physical store, at the online store, or both. The inventory management system can modify a record of the item to respond to the input.

Based at least in part on a pickup location of the first merchant, the service provider may send a communication to a first courier device associated with a first courier of a plurality of couriers. For example, the communication may include location information for a recommended location to which the first courier is to move to be in position for picking up an order from the merchant that is predicted to receive the order.

For example, the combined order may enable a plurality of users to independently purchase individual ones of the items from the one or more merchants. At least one selection of a respective item may be received from each user of the plurality of users. For instance, each selection may change the condition of the combined order. In addition, the computing device may process the items added to the combined order as a single order to perform at least one action.

The second buyer may use the second device to select a second item to order from the merchant. A social media interface system mirrors an online or offline storefront of a merchant to an account of the merchant on a social media site. The system receives a copy of an electronic message from a user device of the merchant. The system parses the copy of the message and determines that the message is related to the item and related to an online store or physical store of the merchant. The system then inserts a tag into the copy of the message, the tag linking the message to an online storefront of the online store or an offline storefront of the physical store. The system posts the copy of the message, including the tag, in the account of the merchant on a social media site.

The first GUI may further include a virtual control for adding a selected item to a persistent virtual cart maintained by a service provider. The buyer device may be navigated to a second merchant site to present a second GUI that may receive a selection to cause a second item from the second merchant site to be added to the persistent virtual cart. The buyer device may present a cart GUI for accessing the persistent virtual cart. The cart GUI may be used to send an instruction for ordering the items associated with the cart, causing the service provider to send an order for the first item to the first merchant and an order for the second item to the second merchant.

The customer device can associate the tab with a venue where multiple kiosks of a merchant or multiple merchants are located. The customer device can be carried to a first kiosk, or first merchant, to purchase a first item, and then to a second kiosk, or second merchant, to purchase a second item. The tab can remain open for as long as the customer device is located within the venue. The open tab allows a user to purchase multiple items at various locations and pay for all the items purchased in a single payment. The customer device can close the tab upon receiving a user request or upon detecting that the customer device leaves the venue.

A merchant device displays a name of a customer and an image of the customer who submitted a selection of items to purchase from a merchant operating the merchant device. The merchant device can obtain the name and image from a server before or after the merchant device received a list of the selected items. The merchant device can display the name and image. Display of the name and image may or may not be triggered by a notification that the customer device is at the merchant device. The merchant device receives an input from the merchant indicating that a customer who claims the name matches the image. The merchant device approves purchase of the selected items by the customer. The merchant device then submits a total price of the selected items to a server for processing.
