  • Patent number: 7395758
Abstract: An ink fountain device includes a fountain roller, a blade, a pair of ink dams, a compression coil spring, and a fountain roller moving device. The fountain roller is rotatably supported by an eccentric bearing. The blade is arranged close to the fountain roller. The distal end of the blade forms a clearance, with respect to an outer surface of the fountain roller, where ink is to be supplied. The pair of ink dams are arranged to be substantially perpendicular to the blade and oppose each other in an axial direction of the fountain roller, and are supported to be movable toward and away from the outer surface of the fountain roller. The compression coil spring biases the ink dams to move toward the outer surface of the fountain roller. The fountain roller moving device pivots the eccentric bearing so as to move the fountain roller.

  • Publication number: 20080092758
Abstract: In a rotary screen device in which ink is transferred through holes of a screen, with a rotary screen cylinder provided with the screen being rotated, to carry out printing, the rotary screen cylinder is stopped, in accordance with a stop signal, at a position at which a pattern-free portion (a hole-free portion) of the screen comes to a lowermost position. Since the rotation of a stencil printing press is stopped in a rotation phase in which the pattern-free portion of the screen comes to the lowermost position, ink is prevented from dripping through the holes of the screen.

  • Patent number: 6874416
Abstract: A printing press comprises an oscillating roller capable of rotating circumferentially and moving axially in a reciprocating manner, and does rainbow printing on a sheet, supplied from a feeder, in a printing unit. The printing press includes an oscillation width control device and an oscillation frequency control device for exercising control such that the oscillating roller moves axially in a reciprocating manner when printing is started in a state in which the axially moving motion of the oscillating roller is at a standstill. The printing press can automatically start the oscillating motion of the ink oscillating roller when printing is started from the state of the oscillating motion of the oscillating roller being stopped at the time of ink conditioning in rainbow printing, thereby decreasing the number of defective sheets and improving the ease of operation.
