  • Publication number: 20100054648
Abstract: An outer ring for rocking bearing (11a) includes a raceway surface (12a) on the inner diameter side and has flange parts (13a) and (13b) provided by bending axial both ends to the inner diameter side. The flange parts (13a) and (13b) are provided with bent parts (17a) and (17b) axially bent toward the raceway surface (12a) side so as to enfold a retainer arranged on the inner diameter side. Thus, the retainer can be enfolded by the bent parts (17a) and (17b). Therefore, even when the retainer comes to be moved to the inner diameter side of the outer ring for rocking bearing (11a), the retainer is caught by the bent parts (17a) and (17b), so that the movement of the retainer to the inner diameter side is restricted and rollers and the retainer can be prevented from dropping off.

  • Patent number: 7614374
Abstract: A rolling bearing for a rocker arm includes an outer ring in rolling contact with a cam of an engine, an outer-ring shaft placed inside the outer ring and fixed to the rocker arm, and a plurality of rollers provided between the outer ring and the outer-ring shaft. At least one of the outer ring, the outer-ring shaft and the rolling elements has a nitrogen-rich layer, an austenite crystal grain size number in a range exceeding 10, and a surface hardness Hv of at least 653. Thus, the life can be extended.

  • Publication number: 20090235887
Abstract: A needle roller bearing (21) as a roller bearing comprises an outer ring (22) formed by connecting a plurality of arc-shaped outer ring members in a circumferential direction, and a plurality of needle rollers (23) arranged along the inner diameter surface of the outer ring (22), and an oil groove (22i) extending in a circumferential direction so as to contain a position opposed to an opening (13e) of an oil path of a housing is formed in the outer diameter surface of the outer ring member.

  • Publication number: 20090136169
Abstract: A needle roller bearing comprises an outer ring having a plurality of outer ring members split by a parting line extending in the axial direction of the bearing, a plurality of needle rollers rotatably arranged on the raceway surface of the outer ring, and a retainer retaining the plurality of needle rollers. A curvature radius r1 of the outer ring member and a curvature radius r2 of the outer diameter of the retainer has a relation such that 1<r1/r2<1.3.

  • Publication number: 20080131041
Abstract: A needle roller bearing comprises an outer ring having a plurality of outer ring members split by split lines extending in an axial direction of the bearing, a plurality of needle rollers arranged on an orbit surface of said outer ring so that they can roll thereon, and a cage holding the needle rollers at intervals. The outer ring member has a projection serving as a positioning engaging part which engages with a housing for positioning, and an engaging click protruding from an axial end of the outer ring member inward along a diameter to prevent the cage from moving in an axial direction, in positions shifted from its circumferential center.

  • Publication number: 20070116393
Abstract: A needle roller bearing comprises an outer ring having a plurality of outer ring members split by split lines extending in the axial direction of the bearing, and a plurality of needle rollers arranged on the track surface of the outer ring so that they can roll. The outer ring is split by a load applied to its end surface in the direction crossing the end surface.
