    Abstract: The purpose of the present invention is to provide a display system capable of preventing a change in gradation characteristics from reducing the visibility of an image. The present invention provides a display system that includes a display unit and a display control unit, wherein: the display control unit includes a gradation characteristic converter; the gradation characteristic converter converts first gradation characteristics to second gradation characteristics; the first gradation characteristics maintain a constant level of the difference in the JND correspondence value between each gradation value; the gradation characteristic converter performs the conversion to maintain a constant level of the difference in JND correspondence value between each gradation value which is controlled by the second gradation characteristics; and the display unit displays input image data as an image at a luminance corresponding to the second gradation characteristics.
