  • Publication number: 20100197042
Abstract: A reagent for immunological analysis, comprising a suspension of latex particles having an antigen or an antibody specific for a substance to be analyzed introduced into the surface of the latex particles, produced by polymerizing a monomer in the presence of the antigen or antibody to thereby synthesize the latex particles; and a method for immunological analysis, comprising the step of bringing, in a liquid, (1) a sample suspected of containing a substance to be analyzed, into contact with (2) latex particles having an antigen or an antibody specific for the substance introduced into the surface of the latex particles, produced by polymerizing a monomer in the presence of the antigen or antibody to thereby synthesize the latex particles; are disclosed. The reagent and the method have an excellent detection sensitivity, and can avoid a nonspecific reaction which occurs in conventional methods.

  • Patent number: 7115289
Abstract: Fermented malt beverages with reinforced filling taste and fullness of mouthfeel are manufactured by addition of ?-glucosidase prior to a heat treatment in a wort production process in the course of manufacturing fermented malt beverages Production of acetic acid can be reduced by addition of ?-glucosidase in the fermentation process in the high gravity brewing of beer. Further, low-calorie beers are manufactured by the method in which ?-glucosidase is added in the fermentation process in brewing of beer and thereby real fermentation degree is enhanced.

  • Patent number: 6442833
Abstract: In a method of stripping an insulated electric wire, circumferential cuts are formed in an insulating coating of the electric wire by use of circumferential cutters and then the circumferential cutters are moved in a longitudinal direction of the electric wire to separate cut pieces of the insulating coating from itself. After longitudinal cuts have been formed in the insulating coating by use of longitudinal cutters the insulating coating is removed by an air blow and an upper waste coating is sucked by a vacuum. Longitudinally cut edges of the insulating coating are abutted against shoulders which continue by intersection with inclined outer faces of cutting edges of the longitudinal cutters. A lower waste coating falls by a self weight between a pair of the longitudinal cutters. An ultrasonic horn may be employed to press the insulating coating toward the longitudinal cutters while making ultrasonic vibrations.

  • Patent number: 6401331
Abstract: A rubber plug fitting apparatus includes: a rubber plug feeding unit for feeding each of rubber plugs to a rubber plug feeding port; a rubber plug holder for holding one of the rubber plugs to fit the rubber plug on a wire; and a rotary unit having a plurality of rubber plug holding rods which are fitted into each of the rubber plugs to hold the rubber plugs. The rotary unit rotationally moves each of the rubber plug holding rods between the rubber plug feeding unit and the rubber plug holder. In the apparatus, a pair of rubber plug guides are provided so as to be capable of being opened/closed at a side of the rubber plug feeding port of the rubber plug feeding unit; and guide grooves are respectively provided at positions of the pair of rubber plug guides facing the rubber plug feeding port.

  • Patent number: 6345561
Abstract: A wire measuring and cutting apparatus 1 is provided with an U-turn guide section 6 which serves to guide a wire W being fed into a guide passage 5b for bending the wire W in a substantially U-shaped manner. In the section 6, a movable guide part 5 is constituted by a pair of guide pieces 5a, 5a which are pivoted so as to open and close together. The U-turn guide section 6 is provided with a displacement mechanism 8. The mechanism 8 can maintain the pair of guide pieces 5a, 5a in the closed position. While, the mechanism 8 can displace the guide pieces 5a, 5a for the opened position together with feeding inertia of the wire W in process of measuring the length of the wire W. With this structure, the guide pieces 5a, 5a can be opened at high speed due to the feeding inertia in addition to the driving force of the mechanism 8 to open the pieces 5a, 5a and there is no need to stop feeding the wire W during the measurement of the wire W.

  • Patent number: 4867299
Abstract: Apparatus for distributing veneer sheets comprises a pair of vertically-movable upper and lower relay conveyors for receiving veneer sheets from a veneer conveyor and supplying the sheets to different treating sections of different heights of a veneer treating system, such as a veneer drying system. When receiving the sheet from the veneer conveyor, each relay conveyor is horizontally aligned with the veneer conveyor. When supplying the sheet to the treating section, each relay conveyor is in a position adjacent to the section. Each relay conveyor may receive a veneer sheet while the other conveyor is supplying the sheet to the treating section.
