  • Patent number: 10042236
Abstract: A digital camera (an imaging device) includes: a camera body (an imaging device body); a flash light emitter having a stored state in which the flash light emitter is stored in the camera body and a projected state in which the flash light emitter projects from the camera body; and a packing (an elastic deformation member). The digital camera has a drip-proof specification in which the packing is pressed and deformed between the flash light emitter and the camera body in the stored state, thereby drip-proof sealing a clearance between the camera body and the flash light emitter.

  • Patent number: 8297149
Abstract: A friction drive actuator, comprising: a vibration member which is configured to be driven to vibrate by expansion and contraction of a piezoelectric displacement portion which is included in the vibration member and driven by a driving signal; a sliding member which is in contact with the vibration member and is driven by the vibration member in a first direction with respect to the vibration member; a pressing member which causes the vibration member and the sliding member to come into a pressure contact therebetween; and a control member which is provided on each of the vibration member and the sliding member at a contact portion therebetween for controlling a relative movement of the sliding member with respect to the vibration member in a direction perpendicular to the first direction when the vibration member and the sliding member are pressedly contacted with each other by the pressing member.

  • Patent number: 7687973
Abstract: In a friction drive actuator 1 according to the invention, a rotor 2 and a stator 4 are held in contact at a plurality of positions by a plurality of vibrators 3, and at least one of the vibrators 3 vibrates to rotate the rotor 2 relative to the stator 4. Accordingly, the rotor 2 is supported without using a bearing and, hence, the rotor 2 can be more easily elastically deformed as compared with the case where the rotor 2 and the stator 4 are held in contact over the entire circumference. Therefore, a frictional force between the stator 4 and the rotor can be stabilized.

  • Patent number: 5950035
Abstract: First and second dials are coaxially and rotatably supported by a boss formed on an outer cover. An encoding plate having an encoding pattern formed on each of its upper and lower surfaces is fixed to the lower surface of the outer cover. A first contact which slides on one of the encoding patterns interlocking with the first dial is provided on the upper surface of a dial holding plate attached to a lower end of a shaft of the first dial. A second contact which slides on the other encoding pattern interlocking with the second dial is provided on the lower surface of a protrusion provided on the lower surface of the second dial.

  • Patent number: 5758200
Abstract: A camera, which is waterproof, having a relatively complicated three-dimensional configuration in which a cover thereof is constituted by a plurality of cover elements. A top cover 20, a front cover 30 and a side cover 40 are connected at the inside to form a first cover group. Then a main body 50 of the camera is connected to the first cover group to form a half completed body. A second cover group which is constituted by connecting a rear cover 60 to a bottom cover 70, and a lid 80, are connected to the half completed body. Each connection part therebetween has a rib and a groove corresponding to the rib. A packing is inserted into the groove to seal the groove and rib. Thus, a cover structure with a relatively complicated three-dimensional configuration as having a projecting grip, a pop-up flash, or the like, is possible to be made. At time of repair, for example, it is possible to get an access to the inner mechanisms of the camera, only by removing the second cover group from the camera body.
