  • Publication number: 20040046772
Abstract: In a multidisplay system, an image is displayed without necessitating a display control signal supplied from an external device. Each image display device in the multidisplay system includes an interface for receiving image data and transferring the image data to an image display device at a downstream location. Each image display device also includes a DDC (Display Data Channel) communication processor and a rewritable memory for storing EDID (Extended Display Identification Data) information. When another image display device is connected at a downstream location, EDID information is acquired from the connected image display device via the DDC communication processor, and display resolution information and interconnection information are set. In particular, the display resolution described in the EDID information is rewritten by the display resolution information set in the above process.

  • Patent number: 6556191
Abstract: An image display apparatus has an input dot clock reproducing circuit for reproducing an input dot clock on the basis of an input horizontal synchronizing signal of an input image signal, an A/D converting circuit for converting the input image signal into a digital signal in response to the input dot clock, and an image display unit drive circuit for converting the digital signal into a display signal which is suitable for display by an image display unit and generating a drive timing signal for the display. A number of horizontal valid pixels detecting circuit detects the number of horizontal valid pixels of the display signal on the basis of the display signal and the drive timing signal, and an input dot clock control circuit for controlling the frequency of the input dot-clock so that the number of horizontal valid pixels is equal to a desired value.

  • Publication number: 20020054377
Abstract: The present invention relates to an electronic board apparatus. An electronic board apparatus of the present invention transmits data representing a handwritten image written on a predetermined board to an external computer. According to the present invention, it is determined whether or not the external computer can receive the data, and if it is determined that the external computer cannot receive the data, the data is stored in a memory provided in the electronic apparatus.

  • Publication number: 20020044262
Abstract: A display device includes a light modulator used as an image forming unit and a projection optical system for projecting and displaying an image. In the display device, gradation is represented by varying the ON-time in the temporal axis during one frame period of the light modulator. The ON-time is used by at least three light components.

  • Publication number: 20020005829
Abstract: To change image quality in accordance with the image to be displayed, a color filter plate 3 is driven to sequentially split the white light incident on an A portion into red, blue, and green light beams to irradiate a liquid crystal panel (not shown), thus displaying a full-color image by a so-called field sequential scheme. In this case, if a sector region 4BG of an auxiliary filter plate 4 is kept always matched to the A portion (FIG. 2A), the quality of a full-color image is defined by the color filter plate 3, resulting in an increase in luminance. In contrast to this, when a red filter section 3R and auxiliary red filter section 4R are synchronously driven to be simultaneously irradiated with white light, the quality of a full-color image is defined by both the color filter plate 3 and the auxiliary red filter section 4R. As a consequence, an image with excellent color reproducibility is obtained.

  • Patent number: 6097067
Abstract: In a semiconductor apparatus comprises a signal input portion having an amplifying circuit including one, two or more insulating gate type transistors (MIS Tr), one MIS Tr or at least one (M1) of the two or more MIS Trs of the signal input portion is an MIS Tr of one conductivity channel type. The MIS Tr (M1) of the one conductivity channel type is formed in a semiconductor region which is electrically isolated from the other MIS Tr (M3) of one conductivity channel type provided for a circuit portion other than the signal input portion, so that an input threshold level of the signal amplifying circuit is made coincide with a DC level of the input signal, thereby preventing an erroneous operation.
