Abstract: Disclosed is a cytoplasmic male sterile plant of the genus Petunia having, in the mitochondrial genome thereof, a DNA molecule originated from the mitochondrial genome of a tobacco plant, or a hybrid plant with the cytoplasmic male sterile plant of the genus Petunia, or a progeny of the cytoplasmic male sterile plant of the genus Petunia or the hybrid plant. The cytoplasmic male sterile plant of the genus Petunia is a stable line in which the growth ability of young seedlings is improved and which is not susceptible to fertility restoration, and further, achieves diversification of available CMS cytoplasms.

Abstract: A Pentas plant having a monogenic, incompletely dominant doubled-flower gene, a method for breeding the same, and a method for providing a Pentas variety with a doubled-flower or semi-double flower phenotype are provided for the purpose of creating a doubled-flower or semi-double flower Pentas plant with voluminous florets and a high ornamental value.

Abstract: An image forming apparatus has an image forming device, a sheet discharge tray, a switchback mechanism configured to reverse a conveying direction of the printing sheet to re-convey the printing sheet toward the image forming device, and a casing accommodating the image forming device. The casing has a discharge opening and a switchback discharge opening through which a part of the printing sheet is projected toward the sheet discharge tray. The image forming apparatus further has a first projection-forming device configured to form a corrugation on at least one of a first printing sheet a part of which is projected toward the sheet discharge tray through the switchback discharge opening and a second printing sheet which is to be discharged onto the sheet discharge tray through the discharge opening, the corrugation having at least one deflection which projects in a direction of thickness of the printing sheet.
