  • Publication number: 20110286587
Abstract: A call information providing system includes a voice data storage device and a call information providing device. The voice data storage device stores voice data indicating content of a call and a telephone number of a phone terminal used for a call so as to correspond to each other. The call information providing device transmits the information (or voice data itself), which specifies the voice data stored in the voice data storage device, to the email address of a user of the phone terminal used for the call by email. Accordingly, the content of the call and the email can be uniformly managed by the emailer of the email terminal.

  • Publication number: 20110280389
Abstract: When a call from a call terminal to a called terminal is received, a relay processing device transmits calling terminal specific information that specifies the calling terminal to the called terminal by using data communication. The calling terminal specific information, for example, is a phone number of the calling terminal, but may be a user's name of the calling terminal. The called terminal transmits to the relay processing device, connection information that indicates whether or not to respond to the call from the calling terminal. The transmission of the connection information may be performed by any one of voice communication and data communication. The relay processing device connects the phone call between the called terminal and the calling terminal or cuts off the connection between the calling terminal and the relay processing device according to the connection information.

  • Publication number: 20100098229
Abstract: The present invention provides a telephone relay apparatus in which even in a telephone terminal which cannot recognize a subaddress, it is possible to attain information to judge whether or not the call is to be started. A telephone relay apparatus 100 possesses a plurality of call transmission telephone numbers (proxy telephone numbers) to uses a telephone number (user telephone number) properly to transmit a call to a telephone terminal 210 on the call reception side according to a rule prescribed in advance, which enables the telephone terminal 210 on the call reception side to identify the type of the call via the telephone relay apparatus 100 based on the call transmitter telephone number (notification telephone number).

  • Patent number: 7650155
Abstract: The propagation time (1605) of signals between a terminal (1304) and a base station (1302) is calculated from the round-trip time (1601) of signals between the terminal (1304) and the base station (1302) and the turn-around time (1603) from the reception by terminal (1304) of a signal from base station (1302) until the transmission of the signal to the base station (1302). The propagation time (1606) of signals between the terminal (1304) and another base station (1303) is similarly calculated. The difference between the propagation times (1605 and 1606) and the arrival time difference (1607) that is calculated in the terminal (1304) are then compared to calculate the transmission time difference (1608) between the base stations (1302 and 1303).

  • Patent number: 7567800
Abstract: In a content delivery system, a gatekeeping apparatus is connected to a network. Prior to the transmission of a request message to a content server, a user terminal transmits an enquiry message to the gatekeeping apparatus. In response, the gatekeeping apparatus makes a decision as to whether or not a content can be retrieved from the content server and performs control on the transmission of the request message according to the decision. If the decision indicates that a content can be retrieved, the user terminal transmits the request message to the content server. In a preferred embodiment, the gatekeeping apparatus makes comparison between user's preference data and server's policy data and determines whether the requested content can be retrieved from the server. A cache memory may be provided in the user terminal or gatekeeping apparatus to store past decisions regarding requested contents.

  • Publication number: 20080263140
Abstract: A network system is provided which can ensure that the user's operability will not decrease even when the number of functions increases and that a display screen will be as intended by the creator of the content. In the network system, a main server receives a request for a web content received from a client connected with the main server via a network, acquires the web content from a web server and provides it to the client. The main server provides to the client function setting information which contains information indicating the type and location of a function available for execution by the client on the web content. The client executes the web content and executes on the web content the function which the client has invoked based on the information which indicates the location of the function and which is contained in the function setting information acquired from the main server.

  • Publication number: 20070232262
Abstract: A mobile telephone terminal (103) notifies an information server of information on incoming data received from a gateway device (102). The information server (104) calculates the communication rate in a mobile telephone network (101) by means of a communication rate calculation equation for the calculation, from the quantity of the outgoing data received from the mobile telephone terminal (103) through the gateway device (102), the information on the incoming data notified from the mobile telephone terminal (103), and the quantity of data for the communications with the mobile telephone terminal (103), and determines the charge for the communication rate calculated.

  • Publication number: 20070077939
Abstract: A terminal (101) sends a location request message to a terminal location determining apparatus (103) of a mobile unit network (100) so as to notify information of the location of the terminal to a server (102). The terminal location determining apparatus (103) determines, based on privacy information of the user of the terminal (101), whether the notification of the location information from the terminal (101) to the server (102) has been permitted. Only when determining that it has been permitted, the terminal location determining apparatus (103) performs a location determination for the terminal (101), and provides the terminal (101) with the location information thereof. The terminal (101) then notifies the provided location information thereof to the server (102).

  • Patent number: 7079950
Abstract: A location information conversion device which can ensure privacy protection of a search object. Upon receiving a request with a designated accuracy from an input/output section, a location information generating section acquires location information from a location measurement section and supplies the location information to an accuracy adjustment section, together with the designated accuracy. The accuracy adjustment section converts the location information into location information of an accuracy equal to or lower than the designated accuracy and returns the resulting location information to the location information generating section. The location information generating section sends the location information whose accuracy has been converted to the requesting party via an input/output section. This ensures protection of privacy, since the location information about a search object is converted into location information of an accuracy equal to or lower than the designated accuracy.

  • Patent number: 6694350
Abstract: A client transmits to a server a communication path assignment request packet for requesting a communication path to be assigned. When the server receives the communication path assignment request packet, it selects the communication path as to assign communication loads evenly in the server, and sends a communication path assignment response packet to the client. The communication path switch unit switches the communication path in accordance with the received response packet for providing an assigned communication path in response to the request packet. The client transmits a service starting request packet for requesting a service to be stared. If the server receives the service starting request packet therefrom, it controls a processor, and starts to an information providing service. The client controls a processor, and utilizes the information providing service.
