  • Publication number: 20080273798
Abstract: There is provided an image processing device that includes a facial image extraction portion, a positivity computation portion, and a selected image update portion. The facial image extraction portion specifies a facial region of an imaged subject within at least one sequentially input selection-eligible image and extracts from the selection-eligible image a facial image that corresponds to the facial region. The positivity computation portion computes for the selection-eligible image, using the corresponding facial image, a positivity of the imaged subject toward a person who acquired the selection-eligible image.

  • Publication number: 20080216171
Abstract: A wearable device is provided that is used while being worn on a body of a user. The wearable device includes a biometric-information authentication portion that acquires biometric information from the user for biometric authentication. The wearable device acquires biometric information from a portion in contact with or in the vicinity of the user's body to perform the biometric authentication without requesting the user to operate for the biometric authentication.

  • Patent number: 7233736
Abstract: In a ROW-based DVD-RW, a DVD video file is managed according to provisional VMGI (TMP_VMGI) and an extension file other than the DVD video file, such as a JPEG file or the like is managed according to intermediate management information (TMP_EXTI), and temporary space bitmap (TMP_SBM) used in UDF and the like is added to provisional VMGI (TMP_VMGI to record a combination of the DVD video file and extension file such as JPEG file and manage the temporary space. Thereby, the temporary space can be known from TMP_SBM, and even when the extension file has been deleted, the DVD-RW is made interchangeable with a read-only optical disk through finalization. Thus, the present invention allows to record a file of still pictures other than moving pictures and also pad information in a temporary space resulted from deletion of any recorded area.

  • Patent number: 7043620
Abstract: The present invention provides an optical disk drive, optical disk recording method, optical disk recording program and a recording medium having the optical disk recording method recorded therein, applicable to a DVD drive, for example, to permit recording of also a file of still pictures other than moving pictures with a sufficient extension of the recording ability of the optical disk. To this end, individual management information can be accessed via guide information for an extended file in consideration and an identification code CAT ID indicative of the type of the extended file and recording format CAT INFO TYPE of the management information are allocated to the extension-file guide information.

  • Publication number: 20060013562
Abstract: In the case where recording start of moving picture is instructed, whether or not operation mode at the last recording time is moving picture mode is judged with reference to information within memory. In the case where the operation mode at the time of last recording time is still picture mode, intermediate management information for performing management of extended file by still picture file is recorded to start recording operation in moving picture mode for recording VTS subsequently to intermediate management information. In the case where operation mode at the last recording time is moving picture mode, recording of moving picture is continued as VTS previously recorded.

  • Publication number: 20050078945
Abstract: This invention is a recording medium recording method for an optical disc or the like. Every time one VTS is prepared, padding processing is executed to secure a recording area for new TMP_VMGI following that VTS and for VTSI and VTSM VOBS of the subsequent title. As, every time one VTS is prepared, new TMP_VMGI following that VTS is recorded, TMP_VMGI is recorded at the position that is added to the number of VTSs. Therefore, even when the management information becomes unreadable because of update exceeding the rewriting durability of the medium with respect to the recording area of TMP_VMGI on the innermost side, the management information can be read from TMP_VMGI recorded in the other recording areas and the finalizing processing can be executed.
